Emory New Grad Residency Spring 2012

Published

Hello:

Has anyone applied to Emory's New Grad Nursing program for March 2012? If so, has anyone received an invitation to interview? I am anxiously waiting and wondering if I am the only one.

You're right we just have to wait and see. One was a reference form and the other some type of data form. What is your next option if I may ask?

Hi All:

Is the email you all are referring to the one that stated that the selection process was under way and interviews would soon follow or is there another email that states they have completed the selection process? Thanks.

Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone heard back from HR about an inteview. I am still waiting.

Hey all, to CHINBLK I haven't heard anything, I feel like that lady wasted my time. You should ask people what they are interested in or for that fact even communicate with them if your not going to give me or anyone that she talked to an interview. That to me is just VERY Unprofessional and makes me wonder how that hospital is really. To LimeLight, no there was not email sent out saying they where done. Sorry its taken so long to get back on here.

Hi All:

Does anyone know the title of the person they spoke to in HR? Was it specifically a nursing recruiter? Just curious because I'm thinking about contacting HR. Thanks.

Hello Limelight,

The person handling the recruiting for the new grad program is the ONLY person that you can talk to. There was another person, but when I called and asked for him I was told that he no longer works there. So it seems like, the recruiter is left on her own to review apps and decide on interviews, when I spoke to her she told me she had 500 apps for 46 slots. So I can imagine that her cup runneth over. I recieved an email saying that I meet the minimum qualifications for the program and that I will recieve a email correspondence but still...nothing. Its almost March 19th and still many have questions. At least let us know if we didn't make it. That's how I feel.

Hello All,

CHINBLK: Wow Minimum qualifications? That seems a bit weird, I mean anybody who read the minimum requirements and applied based on that information I would think meet that, like the GPA, your accredited nursing school, etc. That was some bull on their part for sending you that and then saying you would get something else through email. I don't mind not getting in at this point, to me it's about how this WHOLE picking process is being handled and she said that she handles a lot of other things like career fairs so I wonder why they would give her this when her plate was apparently already TOO FULL in the first place because now we see how she is when she's handling this. Yes, there are going to be A LOT of applicants!! DUH but once again it's about how she's saying things and then she just leaves you HANGING>to me there's no EXCUSE for it. No matter what. It bascially comes down to who you know and your connections that's going to get you in the door, because apparently your resume isn't worth crap. Which is so sad to say. Looks like the only person that has gotten an interview was the person on here that actually did their practicum there.

HeadRN I agree with you. Could you believe I am still hoping that they call me? Also I completed 4 of my clinical practicum at Emory.

Its crazy over there for now.
