Hi everyone. Starting this thread for Emory MN fall 2022! I applied for early decision I. Feel free to post any comments/ questions/ helpful tips! Wishing everyone the best of luck!

Is it possible to get off the waitlist? Can you please share how you got off the waitlist?

Thanks!

I was accepted to WHNP and I applied to the last decision group. I was never on the waitlist so I'm not sure there's anything to do other than wait and see if spots become available as people decide what schools they want to go to.

Anyone heard back for the March decisions?

I still haven’t heard anything yet! Have you?

Hey everyone, I got waitlisted here and I was also wondering if anyone knows if people have been accepted off the waitlist in the past.

Yes! I was accepted off the waitlist a few weeks ago

I also applied for RD2 and got waitlisted. Hopefully there will be some openings!

Not wait listed, but I know they said people get taken off the wait list up till the day classes start. Tuition isn't due till the first day of classes so unfortunately those who truly can afford it may drop last minute

Curious to those who ended up at Emory for the MN program, how was the financial aid? Any grant money offered? Did anyone get a scholarship that they automatically consider applicants for?

They haven’t given any details on it yet. I hope they’re generous with the scholarships. I actually committed to Hopkins bc they gave a lot of money and they didn’t even ask for my FAFSA yet (2 weeks after I sent in the application). So I hope Emory is the same with their aid

I believe MN students are eligible for merit scholarships. I know a few that have substantial ones (I think some are full tuition) but they are in the MN/MSN program.

Emory has an InEmory program (I am in this program) that automatically gives $10,000 spread out to all students so long as you maintain a 3.5 GPA. A few students have full scholarships too, based on merit and need, first gen college, etc. You should probably reach out to the financial aid office to see about scholarships. Other scholarships I received are outside scholarships.

Not sure what “a lot” is to you, but emory isn't cheap and so if money is your main concern and Hopkins is offering a better package, that is something to consider.

Hi All,

I am applying now. My questions is the application for MN that I see only asks for schools attended, work history and personal info. Is there no personal essay, resume, transcripts portion of the application as there is for other schools? Thanks!
