The Fall 2021 application for Emory opens tomorrow so I wanted to create this thread for people to connect, share experiences with the application process, and stats (if you choose to). Good luck everyone!!

I rejected my offer of admission at Emory for two reasons, the cost and the lack of responsiveness when I needed a question answered so the chaos is not surprising. I accepted at Northeastern because my calls were returned with one day, sometimes the same day, I have ONE point of contact for everything that I need, it has a small cohort, does not have multiple instructors for a course, and it is a top rated school. The price tag of Emory is just too much for a glorified bachelors degree, I’d rather save that money and put it towards my actual Masters for NP which is much more important. Thank you for sharing this information, ultimately people will choose for themselves but it’s good to know the pros and cons.
That’s so interesting because I have had one of the Dean of admissions call me, multiple students reach out to me, had my financial aid advisor get in contact with me the same day when I had questions and even had programs directors set up zoom meetings to answer all my questions.
Emory has been one of the most responsive programs in my opinion. This is the first time I’ve actually heard anything negative been said.
Hi,
I'm a current first semester student and student ambassador in the program. I'm really enjoying the program so far. The pace picks up quickly, but it is manageable. The professors are really supportive, and will help you succeed. They give multiple resources to help you perform well on their exams, quizzes, etc... It's of course up to you to use them. If you have any more specific questions, I don't mind trying my best to answer.
Typical Week:
M: 8-9:15 am Pharm, 11am-12:15 pm Art and Science, 12:30-1:45 pm Patho, 2-3:50 Assessment (Monday only)
T: No class
W: 8-9:15 am Pharm, 11am-12:15pm Art and Science, 12:30-1:45pm Patho
Thursday: Clinical or Skills depending on what group you're assigned
Friday: Clinical or Skills depending on what group you're assigned.
Hi! I’m a 4th semester MN student graduating in December! I’m in the very first MN cohort so we worked through any issues and provided a LOT of feedback to the professors to make things run more smoothly for the following cohorts! Feel free to ask any questions regarding any part of the program! ?

Hey I just applied for the Summer MN-MSN program ? I was wondering if we can chat so I can ask a couple questions!
@mrogers99 I have a question about absences ahead of time, particularly for clinical or skills if it is likely on a Friday. I have an event scheduled that I would likely be missing one clinical/ skills session for. How understanding are professors about these matters? Obviously, if it were to happen many times it would be an issue but I’m talking once in the program with a couple of months notice. Also, I would expect to make up the work or attend a makeup session. Thanks!
@hannahmollson There shouldn’t be any issues with you missing a class or clinical day, there’s usually make up days!
