Hey everyone, so I just stumbled upon the new(ish) Emory distance ABSN program! I was so excited to finally have found a program like this since I live in a rural area and there aren’t many local options. Plus, relocation wasn’t an option. I’ve still got a bunch of hoops to jump through but I guess I started to hesitate when I saw the $70k tuition!! Now, that may not be a lot to some of you but where we live that is a HUGE investment. I guess I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place in that my family could never afford for me to be in school for a regular 4 year program and even an accelerated program that is an hour and a half away is over 18 months. So although this would be the most expensive option it also is the quickest and would work well with my current situation. So please, anyone, tell me why YOU want to go to Emory versus other options??
And if there’s anyone out there that has completed the prerequisite courses I’d love suggestions on where to take them online.
For anyone that’s in the program now how is it going? What’s your daily schedule like?
And lastly, there is an EMT certification class being offered near me soon. Do you think this would be a good thing to do? I’d still have to get my CNA certification as well.
