Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to Emory's DABSN program for this upcoming September. I figured it would be a good way to connect with potential classmates and update each other as we go through the application process. I submitted all application materials a few weeks ago and am waiting to hear back if I received an interview. Has anyone had their application reviewed yet?

Hi. I've applied to the program as well. Do you all mind sharing your stats?

I'm not sure exactly of my GPA. I'm guessing it's somewhere right around a 3.2 or 3.3. I had around a 3.0 prior to my pre-reqs, but I received all A's in those. I already had my CNA certificate complete. I submitted my GRE scores: 155 V, 156 Q, 4.5 AW. I also feel I really expressed my career goals well/explained why I was interested in Emory in my personal statement.

I'm finalizing my application this week, just need my TEAS which I'm taking Thursday.

How long was it from the time you applied until you received an interview invitation?

Good luck to you on your TEAS! I submitted my application 3/1 and all transcripts were in by 3/17. I received an interview invitation on 4/19. I think the process may be a little quicker now that they are actively reviewing applications because when I first submitted they hadn't begun that process.

Do you know if it's possible complete an application while living in California and eventually move to one of the eligible states. Also, when will be a good time to apply for the Second Cohort? Thank you all and congratulations on your acceptance!

Anytime a question like that is asked during the info sessions they say to email them for more info so that's what I would do. Sorry it's not much help.

I didn't really. I was just prepared to express why I wanted to be a nurse/was interested in Emory but to be honest they didn't even ask me those questions. It was more going over what pre-reqs I had left to complete if any, and a chance to ask questions about the program. It was a very casual interview.

Congrats! I just got mine today. When is your interview? At the last webinar they said acceptances are sent out every Friday unless you interview on a Friday then it's held off for the following week.

Yes, I interviewed yesterday morning and received my acceptance email today. Those of you that have been accepted, have they gone over any additional information regarding financial aid and scholarships? Trying to make sure that its going to be feasible financially.

Was your interview as laid back as everyone else's? My interview is on Wednesday and I'm unsure of how much prep I should go into.

yes very laid back. lasted for about 15 minutes. They asked about pre reqs, location, and the time commitment the program requires.
