Emory ABSN 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey y'all - I wanted to start this thread since the super-early application deadline has passed and decisions should (theoretically) come out this week

Anyone know when the decision/deposit deadline is for fall ABSN?

just requested entry to the FB group. I got accepted in November!

Actually the FAQs on the website says:

"Before March 1, 2018, a tuition deposit of $300 is required to reserve your space in the class. After March 1st, the deposit amount will be $400. This deposit will be deducted from your first semester tuition bill. "

Does this mean we can still accept after March 1st? I'm still waiting on a couple schools and they don't send out admissions until mid March.

They just changed the FAQ to saying deadline March 1st. I think they allowed this in the past, but not anymore.

Yeah I emailed them about it and she said it was outdated. They probably changed it once I pointed it out.

Hey! I'm a current ABSN student at Emory if any of you guys have questions! I'm part of the cohort that started this semester

Hi Kendra, I applied the first week of January and just found out I am on the waitlist. Do you know how many people from the waitlist usually get accepted? Or if anyone else has an idea, I’d appreciate the input!

Today, is a last day to submit the intent to enroll for people who got accepted. Hopefully you will hear back soon!

I also got placed on the waitlist. I applied in January as well. I’m hoping that I get a call back soon! So far I’ve only gotten into Mercer’s nursing program.

@Kendra8 I was hoping I could ask you a couple questions about your experience in the ABSN program at Emory! I'm currently trying to decide between there and NYU, and I'm super torn, so any advice would be so helpful! (please feel free to message me if that's easier)

What are your favorite and least favorite things about the program? How easy is it to feel connected/part of a community in the cohort? Are the professors generally good, and how are clinical placements?

I've also never been to Atlanta, and am from the west coast, so I'd love to hear anything you love/hate about living there as well!

Thank you SO much in advance for any insight you might be able to provide!

Hi. I’m waitlisted and I am still waiting to hear back. I was wondering if anyone heard back yet.

Specializes in ICU.

Hi, I just got off the waitlist 2 days ago.
