Emory ABSN/MSN Summer 2011

Hey everyone!! I just wanted to get a thread going for all of us who are planning on attending Emory this summer. May is coming up quick and I'd love to get some conversations flowing about our class.

Im coming from Denver, but I'm from Atlanta originally, so I'm really familiar with the area. Where is everyone else coming from??

I'm signed up to do the FNP tract, and I'm really excited!!

Hi Everyone!

I was also accepted to the ABSN/MSN starting this summer for the Family Nurse-Midwife specialty...I'm REALLY excited!

I'm from Chicago and won't be moving down to Atlanta until closer to the start of school. I've never been to Atlanta before so any advice on good neighborhoods to live in (or bad neighborhoods to live in!), moving to the area, etc would be MUCH appreciated!

Also, I wasn't able to make it to the student day last Thursday - would any one be willing to share some of what they presented about the program, getting ready for the program or anything else?

I was accepted to the ABSN/MSN for FNP/CNM too! I didn't make it to the accepted students day but I have been to Emory (and Nell) quite a few times since I live in Atlanta. I've been here for about a year, so if you have any questions about Marta, neighborhoods, or atlanta let me know. I'll give it my best shot.

Also, as people start coming down, we should get together. Can't wait to meet you all.

Thanks for posting! It looks like its your first post so I don't think I can send you a private message.....I would love to ask you a few questions about the FNP/CNM programs (admissions, background, etc)---because this is my top choice of program. If I can email you please let me know :)

Well, I've attempted to figure out the private messages, but failed miserably. I'm not sure i'd be any more of an authority on the program than you are but I'd be happy to try to answer any questions or share my impressions. So ask away!

Haha, I don't think you can send Private Messages because you have less than 15 posts, when you reach that mark you'll definitely be able to send and receive them. That's why I was hoping I could email you. I actually just send you an email with my questions--don't want to inundate this thread with questions that wouldn't interest anyone else, haha---so check your regular email for something from me :) Thanks for your help!
