Elac Spring 2018 RN program

Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone has information about how to apply or what steps are necessary to apply to Elac college. I will finishing my prerequisites this June and I would love information when I take the TEAS test for this school. I'm planning to apply to every LACCD college, but Elac is the first school that starts their application period sooner...

any information would be appreciate it!

NYtoLA when did you receive the email of getting accepted into the program? I'm sorry that this happened to you but at least you have a backup plan. Thanks for the advice!! I know you went to ask personally Lauraag, but I think it's my turn to go. I'll go as soon as Fall starts just to make sure we are securing a spot.

Hi guys,

I called today and Monica answered. I asked her if there was an update for the people that got accepted in this April. She says, "there was an update sent out not so long ago" I then said "when??????" she replies, "well maybe you were not in that group you will get an update at the end of July." she also said how they are still placing people who applied in 2016. I thought, wow then maybe this can or will be a long wait! Did you guys get a recent update? She said next start date they're working on is January 2019

Hey, were you asking her about the students starting this Fall? If so, they already had orientation in June..and will be starting in July. So did she say the spring students that start in January will get an update by the end of this month?

No all I asked was if there had been recent updates for those students who got accepted in April. She just said the next start date they're working on is the upcoming winter 2019 which starts in January which she said they're still placing 2016 students. She mentioned that the wait time is very long. She said we should get an update by the end of this month. Let's see how true that is...

I have been also waiting since March on my semester start date. I've sent out countless emails since April. I got an email from Monica yesterday after almost 3 months. She asked me what year did I apply, I told her. She responded back with the waiting list is 2-3 years. I replied back with, I was told by you (Monica) that I was to wait for an email by the end of March on my semester start date. I am very disappointed how they kept me waiting this long and to break such news like this. To make me believe I would start real soon but instead tell me 3 months later it'll be another year or so. If anyone has any updates please share. Thanks

Hello Mike. Just like you, been waiting since April. On April I got my acceptance letter to the program and was also told by the end of the month would get an update. I just called the office and she answered and told me that the chairperson is the one who works on the start dates (highly find this hard to believe I believe she has better things to worry about) also said that she's been out (the chairperson) because she was ill and she's finally back. Said hopefully we would hear from them in a couple of weeks. Finding this hard to believe as well as I've heard this story before. Going to reapply to other programs again and see what happens. Hoping that ELAC gives us news by the end of this year!

Im new to the conversation, however I also was accepted to the program April 2018. Haven't heard any further details other than Monica emailing me with "no update." Has anyone heard of any news regarding their own start date?
