i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.
my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)
Aww Katie you look so happy!!!! Thank you for sharing this photo! Who pinned you? Did it turn out to be a nice ceremony?
My 4th semester clinical instructor pinned me. First we wanted family members to pin us but later we realized that it had to be an instructor. The ceremony was nice. While we were being pinned the MC read a short note about us, our plans and our dedications. Then we repeated the Nightingale pledge after Ms. Melton. I remember how much we clapped, shouted and screamed at the end when a student announced: "We did it." :mortarboard:
Now back to my books, I still need to pass a thing called NCLEX.
...And where does the Management book come in to play?I don't understand why the psych test isn't first with us having psych clinicals first, and having to read all of the psych stuff before clinicals start!
There are many chapters in the management book that one is supposed to read. I think the book is very interesting but I have never had time to read everything. You'll need to post messages online and do tests online. Don't worry about it now.
For psych clinicals focus on therapeutic communication techniques. It's going to be fun.
No need to PM...she is wonderful for clinical...very nice lady. I enjoyed having clinical with her.
I believe the lecture will be online again, with only a 2 hour, optional, review class.
The only time you'd really have to go to NLC is for exams, and the pysch orientation from Ms. Gray. (We had ours after one of our exams, so we were there anyway.)
But how bad is this gonna stink? You have clinical from 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm Monday & Tuesday and then have a test at NLC at 9:00 am on Wednesday? When are you supposed to study, or sleep? That is just the most ridiculous schedule I've heard! It's like they want to set people up to fail. They just aggravate me so badly! I'm glad she's nice, but grrrrr!

Thank you Mi'Shelle! I can't believe it either! It was so weird to spend a weekend with my husband without some kind of books. I haven't taken any semesters off (including summer and wintermesters) since we got married! It's like we're getting to know each other all over again! LOL.
