i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

I am doing well but I still have 2 clinicals left. Tomorrow we will have a 12 hour day so we can give report to the night shift. :idea:

I wanted to ask you all. What chemistry class do you take for RN to BSN? Is it chem 1411?

I know for TWU it's just any Chemistry with a lab that's good for transfer.

It depends on where you plan to go. Some require general chemistry, some require organic chemistry. ;)

We had our first 12hr day with 4pt care today. And we survived. Actually, it was one of my best day ever. I had a great RN, nice pts, new skills to do.

Do you do anything fun the last day of clinicals? We will buy breakfast for our floor nurses, gift card to our instructor and have dinner together as a clinical group. Looking forward to it. :smokin:

Yay Katie! I'm glad it was so great for you...one more day for us. Nurses haven't been nice enough to have earned breakfast at Mesquite..lol. Have fun on your last day too!

We've been so shifted around this semester, it's hard to do anything for any of the nurses. lol

Have you heard the good news? No more 70% rule. :balloons: And no more pharm tests. The pharm questions will be included into the unit tests.

We had our 4th semester lecture instructor in our class today. It looks like that she will teach all 4th semester lectures. It is very exciting and soooooooooo real. :redbeathe When you start talking about licencing fees and preceptorship it's scaaaaaaaaaaaaary. Anyhow, I guess we still have to pass 3rd semester first. ;)

Yeah Katie, will that be in all semesters, or only for new incoming semesters? When does the pharm test thing start too?? Wow, I feel bad for all those that got dropped this semester for the double 70 rule.

I don't know any more details about the "new" rules. But I've also heard that the 4th semester Hesi will be the final test. There used to be a final test and a hesi test at the end of 4th semester. Now hesi is THE final test for 4th. I guess it's supposed to be good news. ;)
