El Centro Spring 2018 Nursing Program Hopefules

Published

Hello Nursing hopefules!

I will be applying for the El Centro Nursing Progam for spring 2018. I wanted to know if anyone else is working on their applications and how far along. Here to provide and receive support and help. I currently have 26 points without the HESI. I was only missing 3 points from the RN-BSN courses. I have taken the HESI 2 times before and there would always be one subject (grammar) that held me back from submitting my application. I did not take the HESI seriously and never studied for the test. This time is different. I have been studying my head off for 2 weeks now. Taking the HESI for the third and final time Feb 11. Hopefully I get to meet some future el Centro students here and start our journey together!

I've taken every support course but 3. If I didn't get in with 29 and the cutoff was 38 then that's strange to me. I have an appointment with dean tomorrow so we'll see.

Hey. I was just wondering if anyone knew of anyone who applied late being accepted? I also wanted to know if anyone who applied late got credit for classes they took in the summer. Congrats to everyone who made it!

I also have an appointment with the dean because points she emailed me did not calculate up to the amount I calculated. I know for sure something was not counted. Also congrats to all accepted you guys deserve it!

Keep us updated!! If you have taken almost all support classes, think about trying to take HPRS classes or re taking your Hesi... The only thing I can think of that they took higher point applicants this semester, as they can only take I believe 60 into El Centros program and only so many into Northlake.

Havent received any email yet. Is it safe to say that I wasn't accepted?

You would want to check to see if your e-mail on file is up to date. If it isn't it would be the reason you haven't received any notification. Whether you were accepted or denied you should've received something

How would i check? I received an email about them delaying any information no later than October 31st though.

I am not sure everyone should have received an email by now. Email [email protected] she is the person who sent out my email or you can contact the dean [email protected]

The only other explanation would be possibly a incomplete application? I would call first thing tomorrow morning to make sure they got your application ans have your email. You should have gotten an email whether accepted or rejected.

This may be a silly question, but I was looking at the program outline. For those of us that have already taken A&P II, Micro, Lifespan, etc, would we have to take those over? Or will they transfer?

Depends where you transfer to, but UTA (which goes along with el centros program, if you are accepted to el centros program, your automatically accepted to UTA) should take them, especially if they give extra points for completely them to go towards your bacholer degree

Hey I talked to the dean and she said that she will accept the HPRS classes for the next filing period...and she is actually thinking about taking it for the whole year since they did not give enough notice for the change.
