El centro nursing fall 2016

Hello, I know this is going up kind of early but i was wondering if anyone else was applying to the nursing program at el centro for fall 2016, if i am not mistaken , the deadline is some where in november to January. How many points will you guys have by the time you apply?

Hey guys!

So I am trying to get my ducks in a row for our start in August/September.

I currently work for a doctor and have health insurance through my job. Once the program starts I will be quitting my job and losing my insurance. I have been poking around on the internet looking at some marketplace/exchange policies and boy they are not cheap!

I was wondering what you all are doing as far as maintaining health insurance during the program?

Has anyone heard how unorganized the program is? A recent graduate told me that I need to use a pencil when writing in my planner. This makes really nervous , have you guys heard anything like this?

I have heard this as well. It's makes me nervous since I'll be working too. I am trying to find a PRN position as a PCT but no luck yet. If anyone has an suggestions I would much appreciate them!

Yeah, I was in the THR cohort program last year, and they would tell you everything last minute. We didn't get out ATI books until the last month of the semester. And they had scheduled my drug test at the same time of one of the mandatory orientations. And they scheduled my drug test the night before, if I would of had not check my email that night, I would of had never known that I had my to do the drug test the next morning.

Very unorganized! Be prepared for lots of last minute changes. If I can do it working F/T and a family with 2 small children believe me you guys can too!
