Does anyone know what books come in the book box? If so, would you be willing to share it with me? If you don't want to type it up, I can PM you my phone number if you'd be willing to read it to me :D

jaxia, i have a scanner at home, but since i'm at work, and i know how you hate to wait. so, for your veiwing pleasure here is the info on the handout:

spring 2007-1st semester

you get your textbooks in print at 10% discount off of suggest retail price plus all the required textbooks electronically plus over $600.00 worth of free references electronically (this doesn't include your study guides)

evolveselect allows you to:

1-search a single book with all of your books for any topic

2-right-click on a word and find definition in your dictionary

3-highlight your textbooks

4-make notes in your highlights

5-search those notes

6-use any photograph out of any textbook for a paper

7-copy text for a paper and teh system even provides the references

8-create new content folderst to help with studies, care plans

*your subsequent semesters you will get books plus another code to unlock those books to be part of your electronic library!

remember, if you dont purchase the package now-you won't be able to get it any place else at a later date!

your first semester package contains the following required textbooks for $529.90 (only available in north lake or el centro bookstores):

i hope this helps, we weren't given isbn #s, now i wonder why they wouldn't include those??? just kidding, i knnow why, they want us to purchase their book pack! and guess what, i am, just because i am lazy and don't want to search all over to find these books. so far the nlc bookstore still doesn't have this book pack in, so you still can't order it. the bookstore told me to check back later today, or early next week.

hey jaxia, don't worry about cleaning my car or anything. i don't mind helping out a fellow nursing student :icon_biggrin:

El Centro has 9 book boxes still in stock and more coming next week - it's a trip down there, and take a luggage cart with you to get it to your car (it's close to 100#). It was $570 ish with tax.

My daughter took turns carrying the 1st sem. book box from NLC's bookstore 100 miles out the door and another 100 miles to the back of the parking lot. :lol2:

OMG...was it heavy! I suggest a suitcase rolling 'thing' too. (Like a freaking dolly or something!) haha

$291 for 2nd semster, huh? Good grief.

That does seem like a pretty good deal with all that software and the stuff it can do! How cool is that!

NLC still doesn't have the books in yet, I just called.

I did get my school scrubs in the mail on Friday. Yeah!

I got my dosage calc book for the math class in the mail today -- It's very exciting :)

Annnnd, they finally scheduled my orientation -- It's next Tuesday.

Wow - it's about time they got that scheduled! I'm waiting to get my scrubs in the mail...I'm anxious to see them. I need to go pick up my nametags too! I'll see you next Monday Jaxia!

I'm confirmed Thursday (I know we already talked about it - lol). I will be there with bells on. But, you need the math list to memorize the symbols before the class. You'll probably get it on Tuesday, but that only leaves you 2 days for 100 abbreviations/symbols. Let's figure out how to get it to you!

I've got them scanned from when Katie sent them to me. I'm sure they are the same. :)

Don't stress too much if you don't learn all of these before Thursday. If the class is the same, the instructor will tell you easy ways to remember the ones you will need to know for the exam.

Yes, it is best to learn all of these overall just in case you see them used, but as an FYI, some of these are on the "don't use" list now. ;)
