kathy,
I was up here for all of the things that mysterious one mentioned. I was up here a lot more 1st semester than I have been in 2nd. it all depends on how much you can get accomlished while you're on campus. it says 9 hrs on your transcript but it's more about 90!

Fortunately, I have really good time management skills (I have to...I've got a 6 year old! lol). Hopefully that will help me to be organized and efficient. Thank you guys so much for all your information. It really helps with the anxiety of getting started. Good luck on your finals!

The wireless Internet is a nice touch. I didn't realize they had that. I might have to make a point to lug my laptop around.
I hate parking at ECC! And, I just realized today it's actually gone up. Sheesh. I always have good intentions with public transportation -- I'm just usually not that organized. I guess I will have to work on that
She wouldn't give me any information today. I will have to wait until next week.
So, how many sets of scrubs did everyone get? 2?
I got 2 shirts, 1 lab coat, 1 pair of pants - figured i could pick up another pair of black pants cheaper. What area of town do you live in Jaxia? I'm right on 75, so the rail is easy for me. I'm about to have to head to work. I'll catch you later.
I live north of Grapevine Mills. I think the closest DART station for me is in Carrollton.
That sounds like a good number of uniform parts. Did you buy all the books?

Jaxia, I just ordered one shirt, one pant, and one lab coat. I was told to keep the receipt which has the phone & fax of the place that makes the scrubs and you can always reorder more later, if you decide you need more.
I am really trying to watch my money. Unfortunately, I won't even be wearing my school scrubs, the Medical Center of Plano only allows white scrubs! So now I have to go out and buy another pair of scrubs anyways! Yea!
I think I heard Amy say the bookstore won't even have our books available to order for another two weeks, at least that's the case over at NL.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I haven't bought books yet - that is far away from the light rail. I'm going to try to buy books in the next week or so.
Take care,
Do ya'll have a book list? Is there any of that paperwork ya'll can share with me so I have a head start before my orientation?
You can order semester 1 nursing book pack from the book store - a list of books is given to you at the orientation. Do you know when orientation is yet?
Nope, I still don't know. That is why I was wondering if someone could share the paperwork from orientation with me :)
The paperwork from orientation is pretty miniscule. It's the acceptance packet that is big. Do you have access to a fax machine? I can fax all the pertinent things to you. I don't have a scanner PM me a fax number if you do, and I'll get it right over to you.
