Hi!!
Anyone start or apply to this bridge program recently?? If so, would love to hear how many points it took to get in and what the schedule is like.
Ill be applying for the July 15 deadline to start in the Spring and could not find many posts on specifically the LVN-RN bridge....

I am! Nice to find another bridger. I joined in on the regular ADN Thread because there is really no bridge threads. If I pass my next two classes that start Monday, I'll be turning in my application on July 13 (wooosh) with 30 points. I've already completed sentry MD application and received my email confirmation that I'm in compliance. I work part time on the weekend in home health. Good luck! I'm applying at el centro only.
Nice to meet you!!
Im waiting to hear from my advisor on whether or not my Micro that I tested out if at another school with transfer over to El Centro- in the meantime I am taking a few extra summer courses and my HESI in a couple weeks. I'm keeping my options open and applying to other programs as well- just in case
So if the bridge starts in spring- will we have summer off and then bridge up with the RN class in the Fall?
We have one long semester by ourselves to prepare then join in the ADN regulars at there second year :)
I'm not sure when that coincides just yet. I doubt we have time off though
Id rather just go straight through lol- no time off to change my mind ;-)
Hey hows everything going with you. Looks like ill have 29 instead of thirty points . I'm hoping by the lack of responses to this thread the # of application won't be too competitive lol

Hi this might be a dumb question but do i have to be working as a LVN for a year before qualifying for the lvn to rn bridge program?
6 months I believe
Can that be any LVN job or has to be hospital based?
I do home health. Have never worked in a hospital.
El Centro wants 6 months of LVN experience, I have read in other threads that they want it to be acute care- med/surg type work, which is pretty tough considering LVN's are not generally hired in those areas.
I was hoping my micro credit that I got at Excelsior would transfer, but it doesnt :-( So my options are to take micro and apply next go-around, OR apply to the regular RN programs because I graduated in Dec and do not have enough LVN experience for most bridge programs just yet.
