El Centro College Spring 2019

Hi guys,

i wanted to make a forum for all of the 2019 applicants. I wanted to know what everybody was going to apply with and if they knew anything about the school still being in academic probation? Also does anybody know if the school accepts the Hep A and Hep B shows that are 1 month apart?

How is the schedule? Is the format similar to the hesi book or was it completely different? Also, they still gave tests in addiion to the hesi at the end of the course?

There will be things on the exam that you NEVER discuss in the classroom. The program is not what most nursing schools do which is traditional. At El Centro they do "concept based". They don't know how to teach it and that's the issue. When the students started to complain it was our fault, not theirs. I can honestly say that the best thing for you to do is to do your research on the school before you apply.

What is the first semester like in general? Are the only grades you receive the final exam and the HESI? Did you have any friends at the North lake location? I feel like it's hard to do research ahead of time since I don't really know anyone already in the program and the website doesn't have that many details. Thank you!

We all had our reasons for going to El Centro, oh you can take the Dart, my schedule. But in all seriousness people will do what they feel is best for them. I'm not knocking anyone that does go but if you have other options then please pick another school.

Some students at North lake had a better experience than the students at El Centro. The instructors at North lake are a lot nicer. If you're at North lake you should be fine. It's El Centro that's just sorry. I work with someone from North lake. She likes it.

I called Jessie today and he said that we'll get emails on October 31

No more mail? Called Jessie last week and he said we would receive our notifications through the mail by the 31

ADN notifications are still being mailed on October 31st?

I was also told it would be emailed on the 31st. Thats only 6 days away so ready!
