El Centro College Acceptance Letter

Thank you for been there; every information provided by you has been really helpful. Fortunately, I was able to find and register for the only HPRS 1240-5438 left at ECC (1/20 - 2/5). Since it's a fast paced class, I'm trying to purchase the required textbook for this course before the 20th. Btw, do you it?

No problem! :) You are super lucky if you got into that class!! They are all full! Well it looks like we'll be in the same class together because sections 5438 & 5439 are at the same time, with Galloway. I already have both of the books from when I took it a couple of semesters ago, so I'm thankful I won't have to purchase them again. However, I will have to purchase another skill pack, which is only $15.

hi Northlakegrad,
I'd like to apply to NL or EL for Fall 2009 but I'm nervous about the HESI test. After calculating my GPA (3.5), I believe I should try to apply to those two colleges but I'm not sure if I'll make HESI entrance exam. Pls advise me on what step to take in order to pass the HESI so that I can also be part of the nursing student for next fall..

Hey dammydam,

Try to get all of those support courses taken those really help. On the HESI, get the study guide it helps in all areas but the A&P part. Get you one of those quick study books for that section. I originally got into the program, then they called and revoked it. Then a month ago they called me and told me they had space for me to go. So anything can happen good luck!!!!!

do you have the course details of the HPRS 1204 5438? I tried looking for the course detail cos I'm completely lost. It's an online class but I'm guessing that I need to attend class. Today is the first day of the lecture and I'm not sure if I needed to be at El centro today.

kindly advice me on what to do or if u have any info about this course since u've taken this class in this type of fashion (online) before.

YES!!! Today was the first day of class. You have to attend class for the lab portion which tonite was about 3 hours because we had orientation and then went over vital signs. If you look at the class schedule you will see which lab we are doing for the day and in which room. I'm sorry you didn't fully understand. You can only miss one day of class, any more than that and you fail, is what they told us today, so hopefully I will see u tomorrow in class, it starts at 5, and make sure you have the necessary supplies that are listed on the syllabus. Are the supplies listed below included in the Basic Skill Lab Supply Pack that is sold at the bookstore?

Stethoscope (ex: Littman Select)

non-sterile gloves

watch with a seconds

hand alcohol wipes

digital oral thermometer

digital oral thermometer sheaths/covers

hand sanitizer

extra sterile gloves

1 inch tape for gauze

note taking materials

Lastly, do I need to bring along any checkoff sheet (on the BB) to class this evening? I'm just trying to know or have all the necessary items before I embark on the 1.5hr drive to school.

Dont even worry about the HESI. It is easy, I promise. As for GPA cut off - its just too wacky to tell. Applicants for Spring 08 got in with a 2.5, applicants for fall 08 cut off at a 3.7 with 15hrs support credit. It all comes down to who applied.

Fall 08 cut off was a 3.4 something...I had a friend who got in that semester and her GPA was lower than a 3.7.

Dont be rude. I know for a fact that , that was NOT the cutt off because I applied and my rejection letter stated that the lowest accepted was a 3.7 with 15hrs of support credit. Do you need me to scan my letter and post it on here?!

Congrats to those that were accepted. Im at tcc but im applying every where, i plan on taking the hesi sometime next month, do any one remember any of the content on the test with the ap like what sectins did they focus on. I jave the book but it really isnt any good... Any help would be great thanks!!!!!!
