El Camino New Grad 2018

Just wanted to see if anyone else here applied to the El Camino New grad program. Apps were open I believe mid-late september, with cohort starting in January.

I felt pretty good about my interview, especially since it was my very first one, and was told I would hear my status and next steps by the end of the week. I received an email Friday morning saying "We were very selective with who was called in for interview for the L&D New Grad program. Each candidate was highly qualified and our decision was a difficult one. I regret to inform you that you were not selected for the program". While I'm disappointed, I'm really very glad I was given the opportunity to interview and will use the experience to help prepare for future interviews. I did send a nice reply thanking them for their time and asking for feedback about my interview skills and overall qualifications. Hopefully, they have some time to respond.

Hi everyone! I am graduating RN school next week and have been looking online for new grad programs in the bay area but have not seen any. I know El Camino recently had one. Does anyone know how often they typically post these openings? And also what they require? I am graduating with my ADN and starting a BSN program as soon as I have my license (end of Feb hopefully). I hope having an ADN won't be a peoblem. Any information helps! Thank you :)

Historically they have accepted 1 ADN per cohort but they must be enrolled in a BSN program at the time of the application - this year they hired 3 cohorts, one in October, one in June, and one in September. Keep your eye out on their website, it's an amazing place to work! Good luck :)

Hey y'all! I'm interested in this program but I don't graduate until May. I can't seem to find where I should be looking in order to stay updated! Where should I be looking?
