El Camino, Compton, Cypress College Spring 2020 nursing application process

Hi everyone. I applied to El Camino College, Compton College and Cypress College. I was hoping we could help each other out in sharing information. This is my first time applying to any nursing program. All I know for now is that ECC is supposed to send an email to potential candidates to take TEAS on or around Oct 21. What I don’t understand is if we will get the invite around that time or if we will be TESTING around that time. It can be read either way. At compton, the lady at the front desk said they’d be behind one week for testing due to her being gone due to a death in the family. So she said that if I got an invite to take the TEAS elsewhere, to do it and then contact her so that she can tell me where to send it. All I remember from Cypress is that we should get an email by Dec 12 or so and to call the school if we don’t. But I don’t remember what they said as far as the TEAS. I guess I’m wondering if denial letters also get sent when invites for TEAS get sent. Anyway, I’d appreciate any feedback from anyone. Thanks!

I can't open up the teas invite letter.When is the last day to reply the teas.

Mine says noon Oct 23.

3 pm Oct 23 for those who just need to send TEAS results. But make sure you call and verify, yours may be different.

Called to verify yesterday but the lady said she is still going through emails, hopefully I get a reply today.

Did ya’ll receive the email confirmation from ECC for the exam? I resent my confirmation email for the TEAS because I hadn’t heard anything and I wanted to make sure I did it again. I got the confirmation for the date today around 1pm. Sue_ema, did u get ur situation resolved?

I haven’t received teas results confirmation, so I called & the lady said the confirmation emails haven’t been sent, so idk when I will be receiving one but I hope everything is in place because I called ATI & they said el Camino received my results .

Oh, you took TEAS already. No, I meant an email where she confirms that you (student) sent/emailed her back informing her that you will be taking the TEAS with EL Camino. I sent it as soon as I got the email inviting me to the TEAS, but I never heard back or got anything, so I was a little nervous about it (even though my email shows it was sent). So I just sent another email today before noon confirming that I will be taking TEAS on Nov 1st and I received an email from ECC saying they received it. It could just be that since the deadline was at noon, she sent them out after that or maybe she never got mine to begin with, I don’t know. That is why I was asking if anyone else received one too.

Yeah, my situation is different since I took teas, I had to email my results to el Camino & they said I would receive a confirmation, I also emailed them but instead of accepting teas exam, let them know I sent results. They have been slow at sending emails. I have a friend who hasn’t even received invite or denial. So idk if maybe they will have a 2nd round of invites.

I think they will because my invite says “first session,” so I’m sure they’ll probably have another one. If you read old posts about nursing app for ECC, is says there was two sessions for the TEAS tests, so I’m sure it will be the same.

Maybe do to space at testing room and also for those that fail teas the first round, is why they have two test dates. Do you know how many students they usually invite ?

I have no idea. This is my first time applying to any nursing program. I guess I’ll find out when I get there for the test and try to guesstimate how many students there are and let you know.
