El Camino, Compton, Cypress College Spring 2020 nursing application process

Hi everyone. I applied to El Camino College, Compton College and Cypress College. I was hoping we could help each other out in sharing information. This is my first time applying to any nursing program. All I know for now is that ECC is supposed to send an email to potential candidates to take TEAS on or around Oct 21. What I don’t understand is if we will get the invite around that time or if we will be TESTING around that time. It can be read either way. At compton, the lady at the front desk said they’d be behind one week for testing due to her being gone due to a death in the family. So she said that if I got an invite to take the TEAS elsewhere, to do it and then contact her so that she can tell me where to send it. All I remember from Cypress is that we should get an email by Dec 12 or so and to call the school if we don’t. But I don’t remember what they said as far as the TEAS. I guess I’m wondering if denial letters also get sent when invites for TEAS get sent. Anyway, I’d appreciate any feedback from anyone. Thanks!

Not yet, guessing invites will be sent this week.

When I spoke with the lady at Compton, she said invites wouldn’t be sent out until the week of the 28th. She pointed that week out to me on the computer. So unless she catches up with whatever she had to do, I wouldn’t expect anything from Compton this week.

Lol. Btw did ecc sent you a rejection email? I’ve been wondering if they are still sending invites.

I didnt apply to ecc, only to compton and another school. So my I'm literally banking on this to work out.

Same here. I got rejection email from Lbcc today, waiting on Compton and harbor college for invites but I’m really hoping to get into el Camino. Some girl I met last semester, who is in Compton’s nursing program told me this application period would be the easiest to get into but idk how true that is.

I also got rejected from lbcc but then again they had 600 applicants so I cant be mad. My friend told me it was pretty easy as well but I've seen that recently people have started to become more intrested in compton and el camino so it may change the odds. But atleast they give you a chance to stand out in your application.

Yeah, can’t be mad, even though I believe Lbcc selections is ridiculous. Well, good luck to everybody!!! Keep posting updates.
