Yikes I'm taking the NCLEX-RN tomorrow!!!! :chair: :sofahider I'm alittle nervous now...I told myself I wouldn't study today..but I think today I'm going to briefly look at the meds...because I certainly don't know all of them...I'm familiar with some. Any last minute words of encouragement or advice. I'm trying to stay calm at least...

Just try to stay calm and relax today. I didn't study at all the day before I figured what was the chances that I might see something on boards that I studied that day anyway..the night before I went for a great swim which realy helped me to relax and get rid of some nervous energy. I actually slept the best the night before NCLEX than I had in weeks. Be sure and eat something for breakfast and when you get to the testing center just take a deep breathe and tell yourself that you know all the answers and that you will pass because you passed nursing school and you have seen this stuff before. When I got a question I was unsure about I would just push my chair back, close my eyes, and take a few deep breaths until I felt relaxed again. This really helped me to refocus . Just take your time and I'm sure you'll be fine. Best wishes and I'll be praying for you!

Ok, beyond my usual Queen of Breathing Therapy, lol, consider this: many times people have posted that they studied the day before the exam, trying to cram just a little more info in....and none of it was on the exam anyway.
I don't recall anyone saying "boy, I'm so glad I studied the day before, because THAT was the day that made the difference!!"
Doesn't work that way. You've prepared like a fiend, I KNOW, because I've been doing the same thing right along with you . You're ready. You're nervous, which is normal, but you are READY. There's nothing on that exam that is going to cause you to fail. You will get just as many questions right as you need to, and then you'll be done, having PASSED.
Can't wait until you come back and tell us that you have a license :)
By the way....have you gone over the Tutorial yet? If not, please go to the Pearson website (homepage) and find the link for the Demo Tutorial....it will show you exactly the same tutorial you will see for your actual NCLEX. Except by viewing it ahead of time, getting comfortable with whatever format questions there are (including exhibit!) you can save yourself close to 10 minutes on your test time. Time doing the tutorial counts against your total time.
So, check it out so you don't waste time on it tomorrow :)

I'm taking mine too tommorow at 9am. Do you happen to be taking yours in Waltham by any chance? That's where I am taking mine. I am not doing any studying today. I may do some leisurely reading later to keep my mind occupied. I may do something else that requires my husband's participation as well because from what I have heard there is a specail certain activity that if done the week of a test will relax the soul and allow for better test taking-woohoo! Good luck to you!

Dear NCLEX Takers: Don't study anymore tonight! Have a light supper, go for a walk, watch a funny movie - ANYTHING to take your mind off IT. Go to bed early. Get up in plenty of time to get to the testing center. When you're in front of the computer - take a deep breath - and TAKE YOUR TIME!! You have many hours to take a test that really only takes 2 or 3 hours at the MOST!! In other words, the test is not time pressured. Just work steadily, don't rush and don't overthink your answer choice.
Good luck - this too shall pass - and I hope you all do, too.
Hehehehe hope that activity worked for you I'm actually taking mine in Boston, since I live near there. Good luck tomorrow too!! You'll be done way before me!! I don't test till 2:30
