This topic has probably been discussed before but I haven't found a clear answer... Does anyone know if WGU accept/transfer credits from EduKan? I chose Garden City Community College as my "home" school. Will the transcript say EduKan or the college name? I emailed them and im not sure theyre understanding what EduKan is. I emailed them the course syllabus from GCCC and info about EduKan but they said they'll accept the courses from the syllabus but cannot credit from EduKan?
Please advice, if theyre not accredited or transferred over im forced to drop the class (micro)and go to Straighterline and take it there but im hesitant to do so because SL isn't transferrable to a lot of colleges as they don't give out letter grades.

I took Edukan classes and chose Garden City as my home college. Yes, the credit transferred to WGU. I also remember my enrollment counselor before I took the Edukan class that they've accepted science classes like micro, anatomy, etc. When they recieve your transcript it says "Garden City Community College" and does not say online anywhere. I've also taken straighter line courses and if I could pick from the two I would do Edukan classes because they will transfer to any college because Garden Citu Community College is regionally accredited. However, if you know you only want to go to WGU then straighter line would be the faster route because you can accelerate. The classes with Edukan are more traditional in a sense that there's a syllabus with a weekly schedule. Hope that helps!

Yes they are accepted and the transcript will show the community college that you chose
Thanks for the replies! Glad it'll work out for me as the class at EduKan wasn't cheap and today would be the last day to drop for a full refund.
Centercourt, sorry I'm unable to reply to your pm as I'm new to the forums as a participant but do you mind exchanging email? I will be applying to WGU pre licensure also, would be great to keep in contact! Thanks
I loved the two classes I took with edukan. Straighterline is okay but there is not a lot of guidance which makes it hard to really know what to study for the quizzes. A lot of times I find that the quizzes are way off of what the lecture videos where on, but the classes are doable and can be done fairly fast. If I had it to do over I think I would do all classes with edukan.
What cohort are you guys hoping for. I should be applying this month hopefully if all goes well
I still have a few more science classes to take before I apply... Hoping I'll get done soon though
Which state are you applying to jaltamirano? Don't worry about getting them done quickly, the best thing is to try to get the best grade you possibly can. Also, I would start studying for the TEAS V now. Even if it's little by little.
California, what's a good tool/textbook to use to study for TEAS V?
I would highly recommend purchasing the official study guide: Study Manual for the Test of Essential Academic Skills, Version 5: Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage: 9781933107981: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com
That's all I used and if I needed clarification on certain things I just googled them.
thanks for your helpful replies! which state did you apply for?
