Education question?

Can anyone out there tell me what it takes in order to be a professor (if that is what you would be called) at a school of nurse anesthesia. Do you have to have a masters and then some sort of PhD in education, or just plenty of experience? Thanks for any input.

It really depends on the school. More and more are trying to hire PhD prepared professors, but as of now, I believe a Master's is adequate.

technically, to be qualified as a 'professor', one usually has some sort of doctoral degree. master's degree-prepared 'instructors/educators' are just that, not to take away the education and experiences. as previously stated, it usually depends on the institution. to teach at a community college, you can be master's prepared. to teach at a university level, they prefer you have or are in transit to getting a post-grad degree. perhaps just a name? maybe. perhaps semantics? again, maybe. but i don't believe you will find anyone "labeled" professor who's not post-grad prepared.
