Hi Sowsodo:
I will be coming from the NW.
I am planning to live on campus.
I would like to visit the University bfr the cohort begins, and see first hand what's out there for housing.
I'll keep you guys posted of what I find out there.
For the next students to join, what are your housing plans, in/off campus?
I currently live about 20 minutes from Edinboro, but will be moving to Meadville hopefully before the semester starts. I'm employed at a local hospital there as an aide. I have a few friends who went to Edinboro & currently live in apartments near campus. I know they have lived there for a few years now & they'd definitely recommend it to anyone especially considering they're very close to campus. If anyone has any questions & isn't from the area, I can definitely try to provide some help!!
I am planning to move there by end of July but I would like to rent off campus because I am also planning to get a weekend job in home care at least. I have been looking online for rental in edinboro but I did not get a lot of options. Its showing me a lot of listings in Erie. Hopefully I can get something near the school that's not too faraway.
Hi Kristin, Congrats.
Congratulations also to Sowsodo & Tatj08.
It would be great to rent & share housing with students from our cohort.
Especially bcs we would be saving a lot.
I am tempted to visit the town & University in the next month or so.
I'm not sure I will, but I'd really like to.
Need to check flight prices though.
I'll keep you posted.
Tatj08, any names of apartments close to the university that may come to mind?
I believe Sowsodo's search only brought up housing in Erie.
It's so nice to count in this forum with someone from the area and that is an Edinboro student.
Thank you Tatj08 for helping us with tips & ideas.
Hey Panalitos!
A visit to Edinboro sounds pretty good. Please give us details if you're able to go. I've seen some great apartments in Edinboro, Erie, and Meadville. I've also heard that clinicals are in Meadville and Erie mostly. Not sure though. My main concern is weather, Erie and Meadville are roughly 30 minutes from Edinboro, but if weather is not so great (i.e. snow) it will be a challenge to get to campus, whereas if housing is in Edinboro walking might be an option on those snowy days.

I was accepted to the 2017, Edinboro University Innovative Program,Fall Cohort.
I am thinking it would be good idea to start getting acquainted with each other and make a FB page for our class.
There is so much we will need to plan for, and we can help each other as a group.
After all, we will be spending 15 mo together and it only makes sense we start getting our group rolling; as time will fly.
