Hi everyone,
I've been given a list of drugs to review for the ED so I've been reading my pharmacology book from nursing school. It is a lot of information! I was wondering if some people could list a couple common drugs in their ED and one or two important tips to know about the drug that wouldn't necessarily be in the pharmacology book. Also, what is contained in "GI cocktail"? I won't be on the floor til Tuesday and I want to be ready.
Thanks!!

There's a 61 page thread in the ER forum with exactly the info you're looking for. I can't figure out how to link it on my ipad. Search "medication tidbits" and you should fine it.

Always check sugar and potassium levels when giving insulin as it reduces both.
