Feel free to message me if you still have questions love.

The program is not perfect. But no program is. The tell you up front not to work. I did work but it was hard. It is accelerated . 5 weeks to learn a subject is crazy. But it is doable. I enjoyed my clinical experiences and feel like it prepared me for my first job. However, you will get trained on the job too. Most hospital/ nursing homes are aware that you cant get every skill checked off. Just own it and let your preceptor know.

I just finished my AAS in nursing. I plan to continue with them for the RN- BSN. I looked at several other schools and online schools and it just fit me better.

As far as the teachers. I did have some I enjoyed more than others. Not school or employeer is going to be perfect. That was not important to me. They gave me the resources I needed to finish the class.

For clinical , they talk to you on first day of each class about missing classes and clinical. To be accredited and endorse you to take the NCLEX they have to provide information that states you had (x) amount of clinical hours. I have missed a few clinicals so Im not sure about previous post where the person failed because of missing clinical. I have not seen this to be a problem with my cohort or previous cohort unless it is excessive absentees. But again they told us at the start of class not to miss and if we did just make sure its not more than 20 percent of class..

Just 1 opinion. I chose this school because it worked my schedule and my life, small class sizes, accelerated, no waiting list, and tutoring is offered at the end of each class.

Hey what questions do you have?

Specializes in Neuro ICU RN.

Thank you for responding. I need to know, if there are things I should start doing or studying so I can successfully in this program.

Also where is a safer place to stay? Because I am a mother with a minor.

Thank you so much

As for a safe place to stay, there are some nicer apartments in Lake Mary, Altamonte, or Longwood. Those are all close to the campus. A lot of clinicals are in the downtown area so I’d try to stay between Lake Mary and Winter Park, and close to I4.
If you want to study ahead, you might want to ask what books will be used in term 1 and see if you can purchase a PDF copy from EBay. I’m not sure if they’re using hardcover or PDF books now.
The best way to stay successful is to stay on top of everything. The year will fly by- you’ll be very busy.
Best of luck to you. Once you’re able, PM me with your email address and I’ll send you some books that might be helpful.
