ECPI University July 2018 ABSN

Hey guys, I'm thinking of applying to ECPI in Orlando for the Summer. Has anyone applied or been accepted yet?

Hello,

Yes, I am still in the program and moving to my third quarter on Tuesday. We have our final exam today on Nutrition.

This program is fast paced and you might have to dedicate your entire one year into it. Pass rate is 77% with your total exam and ATI included. The first quarter was super fast and the schedule was a bit tight. You have to be in campus 8am for all your classes and the week 6 or 8, I can’t really recall, you begin your clinical ( 6am to 3:30pm).

After your first quarter, it gets better, you resume school 9am for all your classes and then clinical in the second quarter is from 6am to 7:30pm.

Pretty much, it’s a good program and I had a finance background and so far I’ve been doing well with my grades.

So get ready and make up your mind. It’s a 4 years program condensed into 1 year.

I am happy I made the decision to come to the school. Faculty members are very nice, everyone is out there to see you succeed. But you need to stay focus and study.

Good luck

@AcegradeNurse Thank you so much for your insight and good luck with your exam today, you got this! ? Can I take Nutrition along with the prerequisites prior to applying to the program, or is this course part of the ABSN curriculum? I don't see it listed on the website.

I'm in the process of completing my prerequisites and will be applying for the January 2023 cohort.  I have a Bachelor in Biology and want to do very well in the program. I honestly can't wait to start with my nursing career.

Also congrats, only 2 more quarters to go yayy  ?

Hello everyone ,

I graduated Ecpi in Charleston , sc back in June 2020. Best decision I ever made. Accelerated 16 months . Check with your employers . My hospital had a partnership or something with my hospital. My hospital offered $5200 a year in tuition reimbursement and Ecpi matched it. That meant $10,400 per year off my tuition .  In the middle of this Covid virus many hospital are offering incentive pay and student loan forgiveness for nurse retention . My hospital is paying up to $25,000 for student loan forgiveness for nurse retention . Payed my student loans off.

I didn’t stay with Ecpi for the BSN . I choose university of Phoenix . Pretty easy so far . I graduate in October. Have 1 discussion to post per week, respond to 2 people discussion per week, plus we have either a small paper ( 500 words ) or PowerPoint . Def doable . I still work up to 84 hours a week because of Covid and low staffing .

Good luck!

The classes that are part of the curriculum cannot be taken in advance. I was a dietitian before entering the program and still had to take the nutrition course  :)
