I basically wanted to know if anyone has any experience with ECPI in Charlotte NC. Im going Monday to take my TEAS test and I know the LPN course is stupid high:idea: but I need to take an Lpn course. Charlotte doesnt have cc with lpn courses. Only small towns near charlotte that are completely far away from me. I really would appreciate your feedback.

Thank You for your time:heartbeat

tisha217 - if you are wanting to be an LPN and have the issue I do that you have to work during the day and go to school at night, Mercy is launching a PT Evening/Weekend option this fall....just an FYI.

Hey I have a question...How long does it take to find out if you are accepted in the Lpn in Raleigh? I have applied to the program that will start in July. I wish they would tell me something already. I am so ready to know. I will be soo heart broken if I don't get in. Why would someone not get in? Please someone help~

Financial aide,...as in "HOW" is the school going to get paid...

If you pass the TEAS, Do good on the interview,...you are basically in!!...The rest unfortunately is all about money...its a GOOD school though...

Thanks...But I found out Monday that I was accepted... I am so excited!:yeah:

CONGRATULATIONS!! That is awesome...I'm excited for you too!!

ps: you have a private message...

I wish I knew how to send you a private message but I don't...Sorry!

But I want to say this before I got accepted into the program I didn't know what I was gonna to do with my life. I have one lil girl and a fiancee'. Yes the program is expensive but I think it's worth it. The program is 28,000 but once Pell grant went through, it went down to about 23,000. Don't get me wrong if I could go to a Community College...I WOULD. But the chances are against you from the beginning. About 300 applications to ONLY 24 seats. I have research ECPI in Raleigh and even have a few friends that go there and I hadn't heard nothing bad about it but that it cost to much. But to me I think that it'll pay off in the end. Hell I got 10 years to pay it off... Ann I say you should go for it. I seen postings that you post in like 2006...What have been holding you back? I say go through the whole process and at the end if you don't like it, don't sign the papers...at least you will know where you stand. I've always wanted to be a nurse and this is a dream come true for me and nothing (no matter the cost) is gonna get in my way! Stay blessed and keep me update!:redbeathe:redpinkhe:heartbeat

Take your time and weigh the pros and cons of the cost of the program. It really comes down to time or money! I also was shocked by the cost of the program at first, however I decided I didn't want to wait for a spot in a CC. I am glad I went with ECPI because I am now an LPN while others are still on waiting list. Not to mention my class had a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX which says something for the program. I wish you well with whatever you decide.

Yes...I saw that too...I called the Board of Nursing and they told me that too...They said that the passing rate was almost 100 percent OVERALL and that was better then community college. I know that if you just google Ecpi that you see alot of negetive things about them but I think the one in Raleigh is alot different because as I said before, I've only heard nothing but good things about them~ To me the good out weigh the bad, so I am all for it. Can't wait till July 20...first day of class! Good luck!:yeah:

Thank you for responding!!

Well here is my situation...

I got accepted TWICE into the RN program at WCC...However, BOTH times it was as an alternate. This last time I was alternate #3....I was told by my advisor that i should be proud to have been chosen because they had well over 300 students apply each time and only choose 24 plus the 8 alternates...

I have taken EVERY class required and even some extra electives over the past two and a half years...I completed A & P I & II, all my maths, Englishes, and so on... Right now there is actually nothing left for me to take...

Classes start here on 8/20/09 and since I've yet to be called, i can safely assume that all of the original 24 students chosen have met all the dead lines, turned in their paper work, physicals, CPR certifications and so on... By the way, a friend of mine was chosen as ALT #1, and as of Friday, she too has heard nothing...

Yeah, the cost of EPCI plus the distance was a big concern for me, as i had considered attending there a while ago...Nonetheless, i AM happy for all of you that are offically on your way... For me, well I guess I'm back to square one...Not knowing what to do...

not to mention you met one of the coolest chicks ever~!

i miss you!

I know the feel...its like you can taste it but you can't quit get it to your mouth. Not a good feel. I was an alternate as well for ECC... but I was number 36. ********...I had to fiqure something else out because if I kept waiting...5 years would have flew by me before I knew it~ Well I hope things work out for you and if you decide to come to ECPI...they got another LPN program that starts in Dec. 2009. My name is Danielle and I always have braids (most of the time)! Good luck to you!

Thanks!!

Can you pm me now? I think you can since i added you as a friend...

I just don't know were to go to pm you but if you want you can pm me your number and I will call as soon as I get off work~
