News Flash! Nurses Get The Boot!
:mad:This is something I would have never expected. Definitely discouring to me and heart breaking:crying2:.Well my sister she is an Lpn and has been for over 20yrs.She told me that they are laying off nurses from left to right at her job in correctional prison.I have been reading up on other locations about this same thing occuring. I just took it as a rumor or whatever. I cant believe the economy is so bad that they would lay off nurses.I mean I thought if I went to school for nursing. I pretty much had it made.A permamanet gig..a great career even.OOOOOHHHH man something has got to give..when nursing isnt safe anymore. Is anyone experiencing the same situation in thier neck of the woods

I basically wanted to know if anyone has any experience with ECPI in Charlotte NC. Im going Monday to take my TEAS test and I know the LPN course is stupid high:idea: but I need to take an Lpn course. Charlotte doesnt have cc with lpn courses. Only small towns near charlotte that are completely far away from me. I really would appreciate your feedback. Thank You for your time:heartbeat

Has anyone considered going all the way?
Well I knew what you meant!!! U were talking about going the farthest you can in the health field. Do what you think is right! If you want to go to school for nursing...than do it!!! and continue to med school...do that too!!! I come from a long line of people in the health profession. Especially nursing...to be exact. You can do it!!!!! Stay postive and fight all counter attacks!!

NC I need your imput!!!seriously I do!..lol
So i decided to not pursue a degree as a RN. Instead I choose to start as a LPN.Many in my family are disappointed in my choice. I need to do whats comfortable and right for me. Basically before I go any further I need some correct info from the PROS.. I called ECPI and asked a load of questions. The rep said graduates from the charlotte ECPI have all obtained jobs. Says the program has place 100 percent job placement. He said the salary ranges are from 38,000 to 43,000.....So could it be?
