ECPI Orlando ABSN Summer 2017

Published

I couldn't find anything on here, so I figured I'd post a thread. Anyone applying to the ECPI Accelerated BSN program starting July 2017?

Also, has anyone heard much about the reputation of the school?

I'm applying for the July 2018 as well , I'm about to take the teas exams. Any studying tips for the teas exams please.

Thanks

I will turn in my pplication after I finish the teas exams, like mid March

Ok! Good Luck on your TEAS, I take mine soon as well and have a book for it and just have been doing the practice exams, all my friends that have taken it have done well and have said just keep doing the practice exams in the book!

Thank you. Are u using the ATI book or??

yes! I also went to ECPI the other day, I really liked it there and everyone is really nice!

Woow that's cool , I will be moving in from out of state for just this program because a friend recommended it to me... I'm looking for affordable apartments online as well

Did you get to see or talk to any student in the program ??

Thank you to everyone that has replied! I am applying for the July 2018 cohort. I am currently taking Micro, A&P2 and developmental psychology. These classes finish at the beginning of May but I am going to submit my application for the priority deadline. I am hoping to get provisional acceptance but I am not sure. My GPA is lower than I want at a 2.95 but my science GPA should be a 3.3 after I finish the courses I am enrolled in. I scored an 89.3 on my TEAS so I am hoping that score makes up for my GPA.

I did not get to talk to any while there they were in class, It was a very nice place! Great class sizes and everything!

I will give you one warning. The program's in class "clinicals" are extremely disorganized and all are planned at the last minute. Many times the changes end up distrupting student free time. The school really needs to step up and have more structure, it would make everyone's life much better.

Up

I've found all of this information to be extremely helpful. I am applying to the July 2018 cohort. I am currently taking 2 prereqs, Chem and A&P (my original chem was only 2 credits and I am retaking A&P to boost my science GPA) and hope to have them finished before the final application deadline of June 1st. Can anyone tell me if they think it is a good idea to go ahead and submit my application in an attempt to gain provisional acceptance? Or should I wait until my classes are complete? Also, one of the college advisers recommended that I retake those prereqs through Portage, as this would allow me to work at my own pace (and finish as quickly as possible). Has anyone had any experience with Portage, or are there other programs that you would recommend?

Portage rocks. It's not difficult and if you are able to stay on track, it's the best way.

You can submit now but make sure they are aware of the other classes you're taking. I don't think they make any decisions before the deadline, most of us received our acceptance notices after.
