ECPI Orlando ABSN Summer 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I couldn't find anything on here, so I figured I'd post a thread. Anyone applying to the ECPI Accelerated BSN program starting July 2017?

Also, has anyone heard much about the reputation of the school?

Oh wow thats very expensive! Thank you very much for the info =).

Shasta, you can apply with in progress credits and get provisional acceptance according to my admissions counselor.

As I understood it, you can only have one outstanding pre-req. I have three. I'll be done soon, though. :)

I am in the same boat! I think that most of those reviews are from people in different programs at ECPI. I would rather be in Orlando because I have family in the area and could save on living expenses, but am considering going to another program to avoid the stigma of a "for profit" school later on in my career. The program is accredited so I don't see why it would matter though. I've reached out to a few people who are currently in the program and they have told me that it's a great program and that continuing your education wouldn't be an issue. I don't know though!

I agree with this. The negative comments I have seen about ECPI are about different programs in different states. I've never heard anything negative about the ABSN program in Orlando. I know two people who graduated from there, passed the NCLEX, and are now working as RNs in the area. They are very pleased with their experience.

Does anyone know how many students are accepted per cohort?

The girl I spoke to said about 60.

@leahhartshorn have you made a decision yet or still waiting?

I just declined my admission to ECPI. I got accepted into a cheaper program in Texas (where I'm from) and have decided to go there instead. Best of luck to everyone though!!!

Hey Shasta! Just saw this reply! I was accepted with A&P 2 and Micro outstanding (with 50% progress) so hey maybe check with your admissions counselor about this and see if you can apply!

I spoke with someone who graduated from ECPI in January 2017. She had all positive things to say about the program. She mentioned that she had a job lined up before she even graduated. Does anyone know if there is a Facebook group for the July 2017 cohort?

Yup there is. It's for students in the cohort. Have you been accepted by any chance ?

Yes! I have been provisionally accepted with Microbiology course outstanding. What about you? Do you have the link to the Facebook page?
