Hello my fellow LPNs

I would like to know is there anyone in the LPN program at ecpi, and if you are what do you think so far of the program I just took the TEAS test today and I passed. So I will be starting the LPN program on 06/15/2015 :roflmao: I am so happy, but now that I am sitting here thinking about it I am nervous as hell, because I don't know what to expect. I am already a RMA and I just want to get started and get done, so that I can go on and get my RN license because that's what I really want to become....anyone please let me know something I have been hearing some really good things about this school.

How is everyone doing? I cannot believe that at the end of next week I will be half way done!

This term is med-surg 1 (psych) for me. At the beginning of the term, we had two people join our cohort who had dropped or failed previously. One week to go of this term and we've already lost one- so there's that.

I'm really looking forward to beginning what is considered our 'senior' year, but this has definitely been my favorite class (I say this now, I'll let you guys know if my opinion changes after taking the Kaplan next week!)

How are we doing? For those of you a term or two ahead of me, how was the psych Kaplan? We've been told so many conflicting things about what to study for. Some people have said to focus on therapeutic communication and safety, while others are saying to focus on ericksons and Maslow. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I hope everyone is doing well- and I look forward to hearing from you guys!!

I didn't pass my pharm 2 class [emoji20]

FutureRNGreen I'm sorry!! Are you planning on joining another cohort and retaking it? Please don't give up!!!

I'm sitting out a term to take care of personal stuff

Hey y'all, Monday starts term 9 for me 235 cardiac. Yay. 4 more terms and 5 more months. So excited. We just had a cohort finish two months ago and they are at 100% first time pass rate for the Nclex. We have another cohort finishing at the end of this month and can't wait to see their scores. To have a 100% pass rate is like the light at the end of the tunnel. To see that other students went through the same bs as me and and was able to come out of this program pass the Nclex is great.

Amelia- the psy Kaplan was fine. I haven't failed a Kaplan yet. If I can remember correctly there was a lot of therapeutic communication questions. Email is u have any questions: [email protected]

Candy- YES GIRL! Graduation is almost here!!! Is cardiac acute care 1 for you? I know they changed our course numbers a few months ago so now cardiac is 204, which I'll start in 6 weeks!

You're right about the Kaplan- I thought it was easy, but three girls in my cohort failed, and we've lost two so we're back down to a 6 person group. My next class (203) is nutrition, so hopefully that'll be entertaining. There is two classes ahead of mine now, as the third finished today. All I can think is its just 6 1/2 more months and I am DONE!

Cnastriving- always a good idea to make sure you have everything besides school under control! It'll make it easier for you when you come back!!

The school contacted me saying that they have an available seat and asked if I wanted it. Of course I said yes! I have an appointment with financial aid Thursday.

Cnastriving- CONGRATS GIRL!!!! That's so exciting!

Yall I am so ready to get my life back, it makes no sense. 17 more weeks of class. Lord hurry up. I know if I get threw this (which I will). I can get thru anything. Congrats CNAstriving.

Candyred- oh I hear you! This term is kicking my butt! All was great until they decided (mid-term) to change our tests from moodle to paper and to add additional chapters to our final. More info that has nothing to do with this terms Kaplan (good ole nutrition!) I have 27 weeks left and I am READY! Which class are you in right now?
