ec ?

I am in my 3rd quarter of LPN school. I am interested in starting EC, especially since this clinical test thing said a 6-8 mo. wait. I want to get through my RN asap. Since I don't have my LPN yet, can I still register free and go ahead and start on the NC-1 test for free?? Or no, do I have to show proof of LPN, (which I don't have, because I am not one yet) I hope this made sense.

thanks in advance.

Here is the number for EC: 1- 888-647-2388

And here is the number for the Ohio Board of Nursing: 614-466-3947

You may want to contact the above for direct answers to your questions. You may want to ask the Board if there are any provisions for those who attend EC as well.

Good luck to you!

You do not have to be enrolled to take NC1, You will get credit for NC2 when you are a LPN/LVN you must apply and enroll for the other nursing concepts but not the general classes. I have no Idea about OHIO best to contact the board.

how do i know which gen ed classes I will need? the enrolling/applying is confusing, do I still need to pay the 75$ just to get them to speak to me? Or how in the world do I download this nc-1 and take the test for free and get credit for it, if not enrolled? sorry for all the questions. thankyou for the useful info I will be calling them today.

I called ohio board of nursing, all i got was machines. But I left messages and I emailed. So I hope to have an answer about attending them soon. I wonder how quick they are about answering. LOL

If anyone could still answer the other questions about EC about the gen. ed. stuff that would be great. The one about the $75 and gen ed classes and stuff. thanks in advance.

Try going to the EC web site Excelsior.edu You can download or request free material from the website I would get a nursing catalog and course content guide for NC1. To take the NC 1(Name of test may have changed) first you would pay for the test on the Excelsior website and then schedule to take it at a Pearson Vue test site the NC tests are 160 questions. You do not have to apply to the college to take NC 1 just pay for the test and take it. It is a good way to test the water and see if self study testing will work for you. Check into used study material on ebay and such.
