  1. :heartbeatthanks, you are most helpful!
  2. hi I went to the clep site and they have an introductory to sociology clep. And you can pay $10 and get a downloadable study guide for it. So am I correct in thinking this. I can pay the $10, study for the clep, go and take the test, pass the clep, and then Excelsior gives you credit for sociology, instead of having to go and pay the $200 for the excelsior test. Am I correct? I am just learning all of this. thankyou.
  3. what do you have to have to pass? or what is their grading scale? At my current 78% is passing, anything under is failing.
  4. I check in here daily, too, even though I'm in the CPNE-wait holding pattern. :) It's so much fun to watch everyone's progress! I never thought I'd be the one waiting on the CPNE. I enrolled in July of 2006, but didn't take my first exam (A&P) until May 2007. I didn't even take an exam that required enrollment until I had been enrolled for nearly a year! Whoops. Live and learn. Lunah, please tell me why you said this because I was planning on taking as many classes as I could (gen eds) before paying the enrollment fee. Why did you say live and learn? What is wrong with that, or what does it do or not do for you if I go that route? thanks
  5. vonda, maybe we can keep in touch, I graduate LPN in July. Here's to the future!
  6. ok, I called and asked. Got my questions answered. I am always looking towards the future!!!
  7. thankyou, can you just take general ed classes while you are finishing up your lpn? Or will they not let you in at all without your lpn? thanks
  8. ok thanks. I plan on calling them tomorrow. My husband wants to take some courses at home as well, he wants to go full time and get his nursing degree but can't until I am done. I do have a free online account.
  9. I am working on my LPN, have only a few months left. Question #1Can I send my unofficial transcripts to them and have them tell me which classes I will need. ?? Question #2 does this still cost the $75?? I realize I will need the nursing 1-7 classes. I am figuring I need sociology and micro, and maybe an english. Question #3 Does that mean I can enroll for $75 and take sociology, english, and micro while waiting to get my LPN, then apply, get accepted and then pay that $895 yearly fee? Those classes are considered general classes right? Question #4 Can anyone pay the $75 enrollment fee and start on their general classes? You would think excelsior's website would be easier to understand. It seems complicated. I am so afraid that I will enroll and then not know how to work the system. Is that stupid or is it actually easier than it seems. Used to a brick and mortor school here. Please help ! thanks for those helping, I feel like a ding dong!

  11. How much does the code take off?
  12. yes I guess I will be waiting, I left several messages and emails. so it will ge the waiting game for me. on EC website it clearly states to check with your own state.
  13. oh another question, does anyone know forsure if EC is accepted by ohio to sit for the nclex-rn?? I tried every way to get ahold of the ohio bon and all i got were machines. leave a message. And could not find any of info on acceptable schools or accrediable schools on their website. Misty
  14. I called ohio board of nursing, all i got was machines. But I left messages and I emailed. So I hope to have an answer about attending them soon. I wonder how quick they are about answering. LOL If anyone could still answer the other questions about EC about the gen. ed. stuff that would be great. The one about the $75 and gen ed classes and stuff. thanks in advance.
