HI everyone. I have been an LPN for 10 years now and am thinking of starting school at excelsior college on-line. I have worked in ED, rehab as well as home care and hospice. I have taken on-line courses and in the past and done well with them. Has anyone taken this ASN course?? If so how did you find the classes were? How long did it take you to complete? I don't plan on leaving my VNA, just moving up to a case manager with my R.N. I have 2 kids in grade school and a husband with a very busy-unpredictable job so it's not the best thing for me to sign up for anything BUT online classes.
Help!!

I finished EC almost 2 years ago. It took me 1 year total and I had a few gen ed courses. I got what I needed out of it. I found when interviewing if you take the time to explain to Nurse Managers how the program works and the kind of effort and self dicipline it involves they are impressed. I work in an ER at a boston hospital.
