hey. anybody attending the EC function in atlanta tonight? i know this is last minute, but my car just bit it and i may not be able to go. i'm curious as to what's going to be talked about. there is supposed to be a law firm available to talk to at the event. i really wanted to go! life would be so much easier if i lived and worked in the same state!
is anyone here attending? can you tell me what is said?

Is this something to do with the whole Georgia situation? I hadn't heard anything about it. Let us know what you hear! :)
I made it to the meeting. The dean of EC's nursing program was there along with some people from the Georgia Nurses Association and a new member of the GBON who happens to be an EC graduate. The school has provided legal representation for EC students who are in certain situations (to assist with applications and such). There were a lot of students with varying situations in attendance. I can't really say I know any more than before I went. It was reassuring though to know that so many other people are going through this and that the school and GNA actually give a crap...or they seem to.
From what I understand there really isn't any help for someone in my specific situation, but I think that some of the other students and graduates will benefit from the legal help EC is providing.
Nothing amazing happened. I didn't come home with a GA RN license. I've got a trifecta of RN licenses now, but still not licensed in the state I live in.

Well, thanks for the info. Interesting to read that EC is providing legal assistance for some of its students.
