Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Fall 2014 Applicants

Hello all,

Who else is applying in May for Fall 2014 admission? Let's keep each other up to date! On the new points system, if my semester finishes as planned, I will have 465/500 points. Good luck to everyone!

Well, to make matters worse for me, I just heard from Nancy and I guess I'm "near the bottom" of the alternate list. :( It also REALLY sucks that I have to spend $130 for everything (background check, drug screen, BLS certification) just for the "possibility" of admission in the fall. I don't think my odds are very good, guys. :(

Hmm anyone think i have a chance? i have 422 and applied to both accelerated and traditional.. i didn't get a letter yet and am at work until 5!! So nervous! thanks;)

Well, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I have 433 points and I'm near the bottom of the alternate list. :/ I'm sorry. :(

I didn't get my letter yet, rejection letters were mailed out today, I am assuming I didn't get in. Its okay though, I will be starting Nursing school elsewhere in the Fall for my ADN. I really wish I could've gotten into EMU though. Congrats to all who got accepted though! :)

Congrats to you for getting into an ADN program! :) That's a great accomplishment! I'm praying that people on the accepted list at EMU also got accepted elsewhere and choose to go to another school; I want/need their spot! :( Haha :up:

did anyone get into the accelerated? or know what the cut off for that was?

I'm not sure about the accelerated but the ladies in the nursing office said that the cutoff for the traditional was "around 437". They didn't sound incredibly confident, though. I have 433 points so if that's the case, I missed it by 4 lousy points.

oh man that almost makes it worse :( at least your on the alternate list!! you never know i guarantee people drop out. I still have yet to receive my letter. that doesn't seem like a good sign at all!:no:
