Stars it could be the placebo effect, but I hope that the improvement proves durable

NJ22 visiting a daffodil farm sounds nice

Tweety have a good time, haven't been to an Easter brunch in years

Was nice to have a break yesterday and go bird watching,  instead of having to be someplace.  Didn't see many birds.  Afterwards ran an errand or two, then had lunch with dad.  Then baked muffins and went on a bike ride before watching Svengoolie

Today will do eggs and bacon instead of my usual coffee cake as it's Easter.  Will start a crock pot recipe before church then will leave early to get ready to usher.  Bringing some cookies and cofffee cake, given that's it'll be a large crowd we need multiple people  to bring stuff.  Dad will be at church too

Rest of the day should be quiet.  Might get out for another bike ride if my legs are up to it.  In recent years our family hasn't done much for Easter

Will get up to the upper 60s today

Good morning!

Happy Easter Joe.  Hope you enjoy the service.  Lots of people around here along the bay for Easter Sunrise service.

Slept relatively well and dogs let me sleep one hour later past their breakfast time.  Supposed to rain today which we really need but a bummer.

We might get rain today but can't complain since we need it. Went to the Easter service. Twin A is working and Twin B is between night shifts so I made a simple Easter dinner of a seasoned pork loin, microwave mashed potatoes, and broccoli with cheese sauce. Found some pudding mixes and whipped those up.

Stepson's crazy texts took a suicidal turn today so I called the police up there. They took my number in case they needed to talk to me but I haven't heard anything. Hoping they got him into the hospital even if it's only for 72 hours.

Friday night was scary here for a while because they thought there was an active shooter on the OU campus. Very glad it was not and everyone was safe.

Last night we had to call a plumber who came and cleared the line. He said the clog was about 50 feet away from the house, which means back where the city workers started digging a few weeks ago and then left it unfinished all this time. I do not know why the city was digging in the alley. I think I will be inquiring.

Hallo youse guyz~

Nobody is celebrating anything here. I've sung in my head, but not out loud, "Christ the Lord has risen to day, ?  hallelujah!" No bunnies or eggs or Easter baskets, no dressing up, no Easter bonnets. ???? ? <(chicken comes before the egg, per what emoji's are available)

When hubby came in from the Ford, he went up and got into his bed again, slept a while and got back up....came down into the den and, as usual, I got a blow-by-blow description of his trouble sleeping, his left nostril blocking up and making it had to breathe, when and how often he had to get up, and on and on, and all were spoken more than 4x in a half-an-hour. It fascinates him and he is always preceding what he says with, "I don't know why, but...."

Yeah he knows why, because I've told him time and again. And made suggestions for helping with the problems. He needs to see an EEN+T doc. I believe he has a deviated septum, and, of course, falling on his face, right onto his nose didn't help. We need to get him a new box-Spring and mattress, and he needs a wedge under his pillow(s), or a bed that has a head that can be raised. Naturally, the fact that he continues to drink, his diet being all to 'you-know-where'. He manages to keep his FSBS at a reasonable level, but that isn't all there is to taking care of his diabetes. He eats a lot of snacks of crackers, cookies, chips, and he is guzzling tomato juice these days. Then, I also get the long, repeated explanations of his stomach pains, bowels, etc. He needs to go to a gut-doc, as I am not sure other docs are digging into diagnosing his stomach problems (which I know are aggravated by, if not caused by vodka.) He takes gas-x which he claims doesn't help for maybe and hour or two; same with nasal spray, same with xanax to help him sleep. I told him those things are just symptomatic treatments and not meant to cure anything. If he wants to make some of his physical problems better, he has to DO something and do it consistently......yuh, but that doesn't seem very likely. I'll get off my soapbox, because I know I am preaching to the choir. {And, *I* know I also am REPETITIOUS about all of this!}

It is 4 PM and both of the other denizens of the den are having their siestas. I wish there was no such thing as suppertime to decide about, as I know it is coming up soon....

So, same-old-same-old~

We went out to brunch this morning, dh and my 3 adult children. It was pretty fancy--they had these huge shrimp, oysters on the half shell, albacore tuna, and some sort of white fish. Dh and the boys loved that part. Dd and I liked the mimosas, LOL. While we were there, someone apparently stole the trailer hitch off our pickup. It was probable worth about $100. Dh is steamed, because he wanted to go camping next weekend, but now there is no way to tow the trailer. He will likely have to go the dealership to replace it, and he trying to rationalize why I or ds should go. Uh, no thanks. I have something planned for each day next week.

I ate too much! But it was very good. Now I am attempting to do homework, but dh is ranting and raving at the TV. I would go in the other room, but he seems to get his feelings hurt when I do that. The weather is very windy, with rain sprinkles, not very nice for gardening or dog walking. So I guess I am stuck inside.

Mmmm.... Mimosas. LOL

There was a carry-in brunch at church today during the usual Sunday School hour but as I am a slug-a-bed I didn't get there until time to practice with the choir. But then the choir director was running a little late so I did squeeze in a slice of quiche and a couple of tiny cinnamon rolls. No mimosas, though ?

Hubs mowed the lawn. As he was heading out to do so, I told him dinner would be ready in an hour. He said he'd be done in an hour. Then we waited for over half an hour after dinner was on the table for him to come in and eat with us. I find it irritating but he yells at me about how hard it is for him to get anything done and he has to take advantage of the days I'm home. blah blah blah. And the reason it took so long is because we have so many weeds and now we've had to pay for the plumbing repair there's no money to pay for getting the yard work (taking out old dead trees/shrubs) he wanted done. As if the plumbing issue was all MY fault.

I'll quit my whining. For some reason we are watching golf on television.  Gma is muttering about "that dirty rat" and the "sh!tasses" but she also makes comments on the golf game (not that she understands it, but she'll say "He's gonna hit it again").
