hello i am an LVN in the deep east texas, LTC making 20.00 an hour for 32/40 weekend shift. i would like to relocate to amarillo texas and can not get a straight answer from anyone the rate of pay in amarillo. i made many phone calls while visiting but they all wanted me to come in and apply. can anyone help me with this. also some of the places i should start appling to. and one more question.....can agency keep me busy enough if i went through them? thanks yall any and all info would be appreciative.

Holy smokes! I didn't think you could get 32 for 40 anymore. And 20 bucks an hour as an LVN. And you want to give this up????

Unless you profoundly dislike your employer or want to move to Amarillo so bad that you're willing to take a serious pay cut, I wouldn't leave if I were you.

It took me being an RN w/ 6 yrs experience before I broke the 20 dollar barrier.

(and that was 1999 not some time long past)

I can't imagine anyplace but the worse places offering you that - it is very good pay, especially when you factor in 32 for 40, shoot you probably make what I make!

i work at a wonderful facility; family owned not a corparation. it is the dang heat down here that is a killer. 95 degrees outside and 100% humidity. it is a killer. when i visited amarillo i dont think i even broke a sweat. that is why i was tring to re-locate. nice weather but i will have to survive. thanks for your post.

My boyfriend is an LVN at BSA Hospital here in Amarillo. He just got his 2 year evaluation and is now making 25 dollars an hour. He is PRN/ weekends.

i want your job...lol..let me know when u move :rotfl: i make slightly less than that myself. i hate amarillo. lived there for a year and came back. no shade, too much wind, and dust storms, and way too many tornadoes and snow storms...lol.
