east la college nursing fall 2013

has anyone applied to east la's nursing rn program for fall 2013? has anyone been accepted into east la's rn program? if so what was your pre-reqs grades? mines aren't all that great that's why i am so worried i will not get in because my pre-reqs gpa is only 2.79...do i even have a chance at getting in? please advise...so stressed out :( im not a bad student... i just don't have the time to study like im supposed to...i am a working full time single mother with two children and couldn't dedicate my time to so much studying...i was lucky if i even got 10 hours of studying a week

They said the end of May, but hopefully sooner...I'm so anxious to find out!!! I hate this wait..its a killer

I just called them and they said we will be contacted for teas around June and will find out when we get accepted in October...long wait huh? but oh well...it wil be worth it, i hope lol

Pretty sure this school is lottery so it's random. At least that's what the nursing department told me that they don't go by GPA.

Yeah ELAC is based on lottery so a 4.0 student will have an equal chance as a 2.5 student. And I was hoping they would contact us sooner but apparently the applications were for spring and not fall semester. Good luck everyone :)

I have the same boat with you guys. I applied elac nursing program in march and I still have micro 20 and English 101 in process for the perquisites and physic 11 for aa degree. I just called in today and they said they have to check with admission and I will know the teas test around September. What a long wait!

The last time I checked with the admissions office we were supposed to hear back in October. I called at the end of the month and they said we would find in the beginning of November via email. Still no word for me...has anyone heard anything?

Hey everyone. I just got an e-mail with a letter of acceptance to the nursing program at ELAC!!! It says that the program starts in January and there's a mandatory meeting this Saturday Nov. 9th!!! So excited!!! :)

Were you suppose to give them teas score? Hm...wonder if its too late since they seem to have already picked some people. Congrats to everyone accepted.

I got in as well! How did you feel about the orientation? I didn't realize the faculty was so hands on and caring about the success of the students. This was really nice to hear. Also, they seemed to dispel a lot of misconceptions about being in east LA. I'm really looking forward to starting the program. Congrats to all that got in.
