Hi. I've called several times to see when we would find out if we got in. A few times I have been told that letters go out in May. I called again the other day and was told that the fall 2013 class was already full and that the March app was for Spring. Spring really? I'm pretty sure I filled it out for fall so why was I never told that fall was already filled up.
Anyway I am in the same boat as you grades wise. I've applied to almost every school in the area. Have you applied anywhere else?

From what I gather, they do a "quasi-waitlist" and only hold applications as needed, so you might be right... I am currently taking human development and was told to submit my final grades by June 3rd but I don't know if they plan to let us know beforehand... Maybe it just means I will get a later cohort assignment and people with everything done already get earlier ones... Yo no se
hello keepontrucking...yeah i was aware that if we got in this application period, it wouldn't be until spring 2014...but hey it's ok, long as we get in right? lol...i know we are not bad students based on our grades, we just had different obstacles the prevented/kept us from getting good grades, but i know once, we are in nursing school, we will succeed... because nursing school will be our life!! yes i have applied at sbvc, rio hondo, pasadena, cerritos, college of desert, and rcc...have you? is this your first time applying for an RN program? i did not get into sbvc or rio hondo because those schools are based strictly on points and unfortunately my points weren't high enough..but all's good, i didn't get into those schools for a reason...God has a different plan for me.....my faith is strong :)
I've applied to Glendale, Pasadena, Pierce, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Cerritos and ELAC. I went in to apply for Rio Hondo but the counselor said to not bother applying because I didn't have the points or the grades. I would have liked to apply to GWC, Citrus, Cypress etc but they all have full waiting lists already for the next couple years. The next round I will be trying for County and the Trade College because they were already full for fall as well. I agree that once I am in the program I know I will succeed. I refuse to be discouraged by all these hoops we have to jump through and impaction of the program because I have finally figured out what I want to do and nothing will stop me. It does not matter to me whether I am in the same class as someone who has a 4.0 in everything because in the real world it takes a lot more to be a great nurse then how well you can test and kiss the teachers behind. Good luck to everyone. Never give up.

Give Cypress a chance and apply. =) You have a chance to get in the first time. Good luck!
My friend applied last year for the first time and got in right away. She started in Janurary 2013. Same goes for her friends who got in their first attempt.
God has a wonderful plan for you.
Btw, Rio Hondo is not NLN accredited. Apply to colleges that are NLN accredited. =)
