D'Youville University PMHNP

Published

Hello, I'm starting the PMHNP online program at D'Youville University in Spring 2025, and I reside in Westchester, NY. I was wondering if anyone has been or is currently in the nursing program. I would love to connect and share some experiences throughout the program!

Hey Kaffya,

I am starting the program in May. Can you please give me an insight? Do you find the material the school provides enough for studying or do you need supplementary materials? I know everyone has their style of studying that works but, with a fully online program what do you find work best for you?

The materials are enough for studying, but I will suggest you apply an extra practice question.  You can also join the study group if needed. Goodluck

Thank you so much.

Hi guys! I just started the PMHNP Program on 5/19 and I'm taking 3 classes? Did anyone else have a difficult time accessing the text books online? I'm a week in and haven't studied anything yet because I don't have access to the textbooks.

I'm also in the same program. I can help you if you're still having trouble getting the book.

I am scheduled to start August 2025 will definitely like to hear some insight. and I would also like to connect with someone I tried to DM a couple of ppl but I think because I'm newly registered to the new allnurses website it is not allowing me :(

OMG! The exam wasn't bad, but the length of the questions was crazy.... I made it through, and I hope you do too.

Do they require you to buy the book from them? I am taking advanced health assessment this fall 2025. Thank you for the reply.

Hello do they require to get the book? or you can use any book that you might think helpful? I will be taking advanced health assessment this fall 2025. thank you very mcuh.

@TiffD

Thank you for the response. I accessed all the textbooks. How is the program going for you so far? It's a bit challenging for me but I'm hanging in there. I didn't think there would be 100 questions on each exam. It's a lot of material to cover.

Thank you very much for your reply. My class will start Fall of 2025 around end of August. I would like to ask again if the books are required to be purchased? or no? Does the book really helps for the exam? How many courses are you taking? Thank you very much for the reply.

I'm also taking three classes. I don't think so. If you're having difficulty accessing books, my best advice is for you to reach out to your academic advisor.

You are not required to purchase their books; doing so is optional. To be candid, certain assignments, case studies, and weekly discussion posts necessitate the use of the actual book. For instance, the instructor might post an assignment to read a page number and reference it, which helps you get ready for the exams. I'm taking three classes every semester in my second semester, but starting from January 2026, it will be two classes with clinicals.
