  1. Hi, I'm registered for both classes starting on August 25th.
  2. What to say during your video recording
  3. For the Advanced Health Assessment Lab, you have permission to use a real adult individual. If the professor doesn't post the assessment prompt, email them. Start practicing the assessment in your first week, as each video for the midterm and final redemo during my term was only 15 minutes long.
  4. Don't let fear consume you. It's not hard if you study. Some questions are long, while others are so short you don't need to read them. The professor provides areas of concentration for the exams; only focus on that list. My strategy on Canvas involves not waiting for the professor to provide the list or tell you it's under this module; instead, I begin studying for the EXAM and REVIEW during the first week. The professor usually posts it the week before the exam. You've got this.
  5. Hey, it's normal to be nervous; you're human. My advice on Health Assessment: all four exams are 100 questions and lengthy to read. For the lab part, you will have to record yourself doing a head-to-toe assessment and two case studies to pass the class. Nursing theory is the easiest class; it's all papers and discussion posts with one graded quiz that did not require a proctor. So you're all set. If you find yourself struggling with any class materials, I recommend that you join a study group.
  6. You need to read your course syllabus to mark down the exam dates on Canvas.
  7. Also, there's no mandatory log-in; you only have to complete the required assignment before the due date and time. All exams open at 8am and close at 11.59pm, while some exams close at 8pm. So far I'm in - no weekend exams; all the exams are on weekdays. The exams are scheduled on either Tuesday or Thursday.
  8. Yes, I'm a full-time online student with a full-time job and my child. That's awesome for taking one class at a time because the materials load isn't a joke. The exam proctor is strict; you have to do a 360 room scan, no phones, and if you try to Google or AI search any exam question, you will be detected, and it won't even allow you to search anything while taking the exam. After the students complete each exam, the professors can view the video.
  9. Hi - I hope you are doing well on your exams. My advice for you is that if you find yourself struggling with any classes, try and join study groups; it helps a lot. The app won't allow me to DM you. You got this.
  10. Congratulations and welcome! The school and the exam are not bad. You need to prepare by studying a lot of materials, and I appreciate the professor for providing a list of topics to focus on for the upcoming exam instead of requiring us to read the entire textbook. You've got this.
  11. Yes, please. You just need to prepare for a lot of information before the exam. The school and exam aren't bad if you study the materials and the instructor provides you with what to prepare for. I believe in you; you can do it.
  12. Congratulations and welcome! The exams are not bad if you put in hard work. The exam proctor is strict. I advise you to reach out to your academic advisor if you encounter any difficulties. Good luck!
  13. You are not required to purchase their books; doing so is optional. To be candid, certain assignments, case studies, and weekly discussion posts necessitate the use of the actual book. For instance, the instructor might post an assignment to read a page number and reference it, which helps you get ready for the exams. I'm taking three classes every semester in my second semester, but starting from January 2026, it will be two classes with clinicals.
  14. I'm also taking three classes. I don't think so. If you're having difficulty accessing books, my best advice is for you to reach out to your academic advisor.
