Hi guys! I have been accepted into d'youville's nursing program and I start in spring 2016. I would love if any past or present students can share their experiences with me. How did you find the classes( hard, ok if you study, information for the classes were on the actual tests). Cost of living. Living on or off campus? Did it work for you? I am very excited to start and I know it's gonna be a lot of work and dedication so any information that can be of assistance to me will be greatly appreciated. I am also moving from nyc, so if there's anyone that moved to buffalo as a nursing student or who is from buffalo or the surrounding areas can share their living/adjustment experience with me I would love that. Also if you will be starting in the spring of 2016, feel free to say hi so we can get acquainted. Thanks.
Hello Daisy it's been going well. Trying to stay on top of my classes. I am a transfer student. I don't think you can double up on classes since they don't have an accelerated program so if you transfer you would be part time since the classes are in sequence. You can still call them to inquire. I met someone who started with me a few weeks ago and she also has a bachelors but she still needs to wait for 3 years before she graduates. She is also part time.
Hi everyone I hope all is well. I was also accepted into Dyouville's spring 2016 but wasn't able to come because I would be relocating from Texas and it was just a little too soon for a big move. I plan on starting the program Fall 2016. Could you guys please share details with me about the school and your experiences and the accreditation do you think this was the right choice? I'm just a little confused cause it's not much on the school and it's so easy to get in. Do you know any other prior students and how is their nursing careers going? thank you.
hi Awill. the school is very small with a few thousand students. classroom sizes are small and so your professor know who you are. i am currently at the library doing some work for my first nursing class. it is a stupid class that you take online and i really don't get the purpose of it. from the students who are taking the class together with me and from students who already took the class we share the same sentiments. however you cant escape it. i live on campus because i didn't have enough time to find a place out here. i am from brooklyn. but next semester i will be finding my own apartment. most of the students i spoke to came from a different place and they usually stay here for the first semester and then move out. i live with three other roommates in the college apartments. its okay but i will prefer my own place. you will need a car so if you dont have a drivers license work on it. feel free to ask anything
Hey Kady101, I'm applying for Spring 2017 to start my BSN! I was wondering if I get accepted, how many years would I have to spend getting my BSN assuming I have already completed all 60 prereq/ge class units from my current university? And how much do you pay for tuition a year (I only ask you answer this if you're comfortable sharing this info, if not it's totally OK!)? Also do you know if they go by semester or quarters? Thanks!
