I am currently waiting for an acceptance letter from DSCC for the LPN to ASN fast-track. I was wanting to see if anyone has attended the nursing program there and if so what is it like. I am really excited and Im praying that everything will go well.
Well I finally received my acceptance letter! I am soooo excited. I have to make a drive to Covington, Tn. for classes but Im sure it will be worth it. This is a grant funded program so I may get my expenses paid by the state. This is such a blessing.

Congrats!!! It seems like everyones getting there letters now but I haven't gotten mine yet, acceptance OR rejection letter!
What school are you waiting to hear from? Hopefully you'll hear something soon. I used to live in Nashville so I know there are some excellent schools there (if thats where you still live). Thanks for the congrats.
TN Technology Center LPN program, I finally gave in and emailed the nursing secretary asking when letters were going out since the phone number they give out is only an answering machine. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks for the well wishes and congrats again!!!
Thats where I graduated with my practical nursing diploma back in 2003. It is a very good program and I learned a lot. It was tough at times but we had 22 students finish the program. Good luck with everything.
How cool! I haven't seen a lot of people here who have gone to TN tech. Did you go to the one in Nashville? I got an email back from the secretary, she was RUDE lol, she said "letters will be sent the last week of August like we said at orientation." What they said at orientation was that letters would be sent no later than August 31 but probably sooner. That means I've still got like, what? 2 weeks or so to wait!!!
Yes. I went to TTC Nashville. My experience there was very good overall. I got married and had my daughter while in LPN school. If I can do it, YOU can too. I'm pulling for you. Good luck!:thankya:
Wow, You went throught all that during LPN school? That's crazy. I'm also married and I have 2 sons ages 18 months and almost 4 months. I'll have my hands fulls thats for sure. How old is your daughter? When do you start Dyersburg? You must be so excited!!!! Whens your orientation? You'll have to let me know how it goes lol
Hey there. My orientation is August 22nd. They are supposed to go over everything required in the program. My daughter is 4 years old. Im hoping to get her in pre-k so i can focus on schoolwork during the week. I work on weekends but the word is that clinicals will be on weekends. But of course school will be NUMBER 1 priority. So we'll just have to see.
I've never heard of clinicals on the weekends, are you doing a fulltime or part-time program? Will you be able to not work during the program? I hope so, I know that working and going to school would be really hard, althought you could do it if you had to. I'm a SAHM right now, if I get accepted into the program, we'll be using the financial aid to put the kids in daycare during the week and all. I can't wait until wednesday, I"m living vicariously through you now LOL
Well I had my orientation and they didn't elaborate on too much. Just talked about our schedules (3 days a week) and I have to take a math for nurses challenge exam so I wont have to take the course this semester. Classes start on the 30th and Im excited. Have you heard anything from TTC Nashville NursePinkx?
