Hello - I'm a current student at Dutchess County BOCES graduating June 2010 with my LPN and I find the program to be unorganized and we barely got any lab time which was extremely disappointing. I am worried that when I get into the job field that I am not going to have the skill to get by. Also, just about everyone in the program feels the same.
wow really? i dont know what to say..........how is everything else? is it doable?
everything else is ok...and yes, its doable. Its alot of work at the begining in A&P but it gets better after that. Be sure to study alot in A&P because alot of people get kicked out because they dont maintain a 75 average - just make sure you study alot! Its definitely managable. Good Luck!
hey can u send me a private msg? please lol
I'm not able to send private messages
oooook im interested in the program = email me if u want [email protected]

Ulster BOCES has the best reputation in the area. We had 600 hours of clinical time almost the same as class time! I graduated in January and just passed my NCLEX. The instructors were awesome, the lab is great. They give you many many extra experiences outside the classroom including a Mental Health rotation that included a state forum, and an interview day where some of the class actually got job offers including me. I can't say enough good things about the program. It was very very hard, we graduated 14 out of the original 52 who started, but that's the same in all programs. Good luck, but definitely check out Ulster before you go to Dutchess.
