DUKE MSN FALL 2022

Published

Hi, friends, I am starting this post for everyone who applied for duke 2022 MSN program to share experiences.

I applied for post certificate FNP, have not heard of anything yet, how about anybody else?

Where does April20th appear in application?

when you log in, click view decision/update. the April 20 is there

I talked to the school and they said if you applied for the MSN then it might say April 20th, if you applied to the BSN to DNP then the date would not change because no date was picked. Decisions are coming out this week!

Thanks if MSN but no date change means I got rejected ?

@LaurenIR yep that’s what I’m thinking too. ?

I don't think so, I asked them and they said they weren't sure why some peoples would be doing that, but it does not mean you were rejected

Quick question, was anyone able to apply for BSN to DNP?  I was told there’s no direct entry for BSN to DNP with NP specialty or MSN to DNP with NP specialty. Has to be NP before you can apply for DNP?

Meowmeow,

There is no BSN to DNP or MSN to DNP for NP Program but there is for those wanting just a DNP not in the NP specialty.

Just tried to login to my application. It states there is no application on my account. Anyone else see that?

I am very confused by this as I applied for BSN-DNP PMHNP track.  So, yes there is BSN to DNP with a specialty.  I must not be understanding what you are saying?

I was under the impression that they do not offer DNP for NP specialty as well. It seems like, based on their website, you can do BSN to DNP or MSN to DNP but it's a general DNP, and does not qualify you to sit for NP boards in a specialty. So if you're already an NP, you can complete the DNP program but you can't become an NP at the doctorate level at Duke. Is that not correct?

Amc510 you stated what I was trying to explain. Correct.

I recommend that you talk to admissions because that is not the impression I got when I interviewed.
