Duke FNP Fall 2015

Hey all,

Just wanted to know who is considering going to Duke for their FNP next fall. I know it's still early to apply, but the deadline is just around the corner.

Okay! I applied to UNC Chapel Hill..but I won't hear anything from them until May. I am not giving up my spot so I paid the deposit..Duke was my first choice.

Duke was the only school I applied to because the program met what I was looking for in a program. They find placements for students for clinicals, offer concentrations as an NP, and is a well ranked nursing program.

For me it was get in or go home! Lol

I agree. I work at Duke so they will help more financially if I actually go to Duke rather than somewhere else. Their program seemed much more organized to me and I liked that it was a semester shorter.

Has anyone completed their FAFSA and SON financial aid? On the Duke financial aid website, it states that the deadline is Feb. 28

I did earlier this month. My financial aid to do items still shows that the FAFSA needs to be completed though. I have also applied for a few scholarships. I am a little anxious about the cost! I have made it through my undergrad very close to debt free.

I emailed financial aid and they said they won't have access to FAFSA until March 1st. It should say complete by Monday, if not they said to email them and they will look into it.

I'm also anxious about the cost as I'm scrambling to find scholarships here and there. I'm looking into the National Health Service Corps scholarship to help with school loans.

Does anyone know the date for new student orientation? I need to request it off now if I want any chance getting it off.
