Hi Blancas,

i have unfortunately have had many issues these past three months since I applied. my admissions officer was away at for family emergencies on and off for over a month. Then, she was at a conference for a week. i left voicemails and emails over a course of weeks, no response. I've spoken to collegues of hers who were supposed to have her contact me the same day, no follow up. I was advised to contact the director of the program and still, nothing. I have hit nothing but brick walls. My GRE status hasnt even changed. I am so frustrated.

I have become so frustrated with this process. I plan to call the office again tomorrow. My application was supposed to be reviewed on Tuesday and my application still says incomplete and I am thinking it is because of my GRE not being updated since it was waived. Im beginning to wonder if it is a sign to try somewhere different.

Hi Blancas,

Sorry for my late reply, I was out of the country.

I am also frustrated. I even called while I was abroad and FINALLY spoke to the admissions officer that handled my application. She said shes not sure whats going on and would definitely give me a follow up call the next day. Its been 10 days. I already have my eye on another online program but after all of this, I at least want an answer from them. This is insanity.

NCNURSE217, I had given up and applied some where else. I even stopped checking my application. Yesterday out of no where I got a email from the admissions director woman saying that the fall term was full but the committee was impressed with my application and would like to move my application to the spring 2018 term. I would not have to reply. I emailed her back yes and she changed it in the system. She told me Decisions go out at the end of august. I asked what was the likelihood of being accepted since I have already applied somewhere else and she told me she would let me know next week. So I dont know what exactly happened here.

Hello I'm asking my question on this board with the hopes of someone being able to give me some insight. I will be starting Duke's MSN program in January of 2018. I will be taking full-time courses and working full-time. My question is, can anyone tell me how difficult this task is and if in fact is it do-able? I have heard from a couple of the staff but was hoping a student that is currently in that position could shed some light from a student's perspective.
