Hello!
I haven't seen any threads yet about Duke's ABSN program for Spring of 2018 so I thought I would start one to chat with other hopefuls like myself!
Also, if anyone who has previously been accepted into the program, any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! For now, I have a few questions:
- Does anyone know if they weigh all parts of the application equally?
- What is their acceptance rate?
- Any good tips for the personal statements? I'm finding that it's very difficult to articulate why I want to be a nurse without sounding cheesy.
- Where else are y'all applying?
I think that's all for now! I look forward to chatting with everyone!
Hey guys! If any of you attended Duke Days (I went on the 21st but I'm not sure if the student panel was the same on the 28th), do you remember what the scholarship was named that was for nurses who want to serve in underprivileged areas? I remember one of the girls mentioning it, but I didn't happen to catch the name of the scholarship. Thanks y'all!
If there are any current students or alumni in this thread who didn't get any financial aid besides loan eligibility from Duke, would you mind sharing whether or not you think the hefty price tag is worth it? I'm struggling to justify going into such significant debt despite Duke being the #1 program in the country. Any and all advice, experiences, or tips are welcome! Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, does anyone remember what Duke stated about the need based scholarship regarding if we receive the same amount for the fall/spring portion of the program? So basically is the scholarship amount we receive for spring/summer the same amount we will receive for fall/spring. I hope I make sense lol
